Brazil r/s V2 Field Guide

=) cool

exactly what i do with finalrender - exr output is great. Seems vray crowd made such a big deal and fuss of nothing!

Gravatar Yeah -- I don't know who came up with the phrase, "linear workflow," and thought it was a big deal -- it's just a matter of understanding and working with proper gamma -- certainly not anything new.

Gravatar The thread that started this has gotten good:

Gravatar Check out this really well done v-ray tutorial by Aversis -- it's the best I've seen on the topic:

http://www.aversis.be/tutorials/ ...al_gamma_01.htm

The only thing that's v-ray specific is the where you find the gamma button in the vray vfb -- the same things apply in Brazil, but the the vfb gamma control is in a different spot (as shown in the picture above).

Gravatar Howdy, and cheers for the great blog!

Since yesterday, i'm the proud owner of Brazil r/s 2. I've been using 1.2.x until some years ago, and i must say i was literally blown away by what v2 has achieved.

Anyway, this might be just my mind not coping with late hours well, but does Brazil have any means of outputting render elements separately (as in z-depth, specular, diffuse, etc) ?!

Thanks again!

Gravatar Hi and welcome in the club! About your question, better ask in forums.splutterfish.com

Gravatar It's cool to ask here, but it's off topic, so I'd encourage you to use the splutterfish forums, like zemmuonne suggested. I don't recall the details of the render elements support in b2 -- I tend to use brazil's render passes. srry.
