You'll be happy to know that most of the Spanish spoken in Central Florida is of either the Cuban or Puerto Rican variety. The Cubans who emigrated to Florida in the fifties are outstanding people and a true gift to the Central Florida culture. I left a huge piece of my life in Orlando and still miss it terribly. One of these days...

I'll hold the fort at SMC for you, and every once in a while hoist a memorial cocktail.

Wow. Sorry to see you go but I certainly can't disagree with your assesment of California's current state of affairs. Interesting to note, I recently went back to NY & CT on a vacation and felt more like an American there than I probably ever will here in CA, although I must admit Irvine is a great place to live.
