Although some of the Attorneys appear to have been fired for legitimate reasons, such as poor performance or corruption, several were considered to be among the better U.S Attorneys in the country. The dismissals have angered Democratc leaders who say the Republican-led government is sabotaging the Justice Department to achieve sectarian goals.
