Give him a chance and he'd probably turn America's neighborhoods into Baghdad.

Your barb might be funnier if our urban crime wasn't about half as bad as Baghdad's even without a war.
Which is what he meant.

They celebrated the New Year because they have a safe environment ..... but it's much more deadly in Iraq.
The safe environments are deadly?
We have a problem with safe environment here?
Is that what he said? What does he think he said?

4-5 miilion displaced Iraqis, and some neighborhoods are peaceful now because everyone of the "wrong" ethnicity has either fled or been killed. The Bush administration keeps the peace with bribery to militias on a massive scale, which, incidentally, undermines the central government the "surge" was purported to help. But the "surge" is working. Riiight. It's always been about changing the conversation domestically - and there, it has been successful.

Hey, Hope, when was the last time five U.S. soldiers were killed and three others wounded in a bomb blast in a U.S. city?
It just happened in central Baghdad. Again.
The fact that you and McCain and Dubyah can't see there's a massive difference between urban crime here and hundreds of murders daily there shows that all three of you are frightening out of touch with reality.
