This tempest might serve to derail Governor Sebelius' chances to be Senator Obama's vice president. Sadly, however, Governor Sebelius is not alone in her status as a Catholic politician who rejects the Church's teachings on life for the transitory praise of man--and the occasional embrace of a man who commits monstrous deeds.
If we had a few more bishops like him in the US, the world would be a better place.
As it is, we have too many of the "Old Guard", who think that the platform of the democratic party is the fifth gosple.
They would never act so courageously--after all, they get to hobnob with the na-bobs that way.
