Gravatar I just found your site via your comment on Julie's site. Love what you're doing here! My son also loves the Wiggles, and will do wiggly hands at the drop of a Captain Feathersword hat.

So, quick question (as a devoted Pride & Prejudice fan I must ask) is D'Arcy named for Mr. Darcy? Or am I being silly?

Gravatar Checking in, crit. Don't work too hard. :)

Gravatar Liz, thanks for coming past. No, I have to say it was one of those (unfortunate) coincidences that P&P was shown on TV around the time D'Arcy was born (I have to admit to never having seen or read it). He was actually named for D'Arcy Niland, an Australian author whose writing we liked (he wrote 'The Shiralee', amongst others) and he was married to Ruth Park, an Aus NZ author who writes fabulous stuff for all ages. It was also one of the few names that I could cope with, having worked in School age care for 15 years.

mrsd, it's the staying up late blogging that really gets me I reckon...keep enjoying that summer break.

Gravatar Ah...but still a literary connection. Lovely!

Gravatar Hi, Crit.

Thanks for posting the recipe. I think I'm going to try it. I too had been wondering about the name D'Arcy. I've never heard of either of those authors. I'm intrigued.

Gravatar Ahem. Ok. It's been ten days since you last posted, and I know you're around because you've been to my blog. So -- how to put this politely and not sound like a nag? -- I'm eager for another post from you, and maybe some new pix of your sweet boy. :)

Gravatar Mmm cake. Glad all is well.

Gravatar Yummy cake. WOuld love some now. :)
