Oh, man, now I feel really bad. I didn't know you were working 10-hour shifts regularly; I thought it was just one day. And of course I didn't know you had a cold. Well, I'm so glad you posted anyway. D'Arcy is quite a little artist!
The glue story reminds me of a story from my teenage babysitting years. I didn't know the front door locked automatically, and I accidentally locked myself and the kids out of the house. The 5yo boy was full of great suggestions: maybe we could lift the roof off the house and climb over the wall. Maybe we could get a shovel and dig a tunnel up from underneath. Etc.

No no no, don't feel bad, of course you didn't know - I wasn't posting! The 10 hour thing isn't regular, this week one of my co-worker's sons had to have his appendix taken out suddenly, so she's off and I was helping to cover for her....
I liked your babysitting story, children do come up with the best solutions for problems.

yeah, thanks for the nudge...the usual lack of inspiration, and i keep leaving the camera in the car. But it has been raining!!!! i ought to get it together soon to blog again.
