The writing is a boy thing too. I never believed in girl/boy divisions of skill until I had a boy. Bumblebee HATES writing. As do many other boys in the class. I buy him maze books (which he adores), in the hope that following a narrow line with a pencil will up his fine motor skills. Sort of does. As you say, it'll come in time.
I like the maze idea. I've been thinking of getting some colouring in books for him, but mazes might get him more interested. It is an interesting thing, the gender divide on motor skills - and the teacher also mentioned it. She didn't think it was 'cos he's left handed, but did say she is a bit concerned. Interesting that BB hates writing so much. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that with D...
