Laura, too, had a break from her teacher, who went to Brisbane for her son's wedding and was away a whole week. Laura seems to think Mrs Herlt is OK but not all that great (a bit bossy at times, funny that...)The substitute is a regular at Curtin and according to Laura is not as nice as her usual teacher - way too bossy! So Laura greeted Mrs Herlt today with great love in her eyes! It was so cute!! Mrs Herlt also looked incredibly refreshed so maybe she will be relaxed for the remainder of the year - that'd be nice. I think those little buggers wear her down!
it's a hard job to do, but there was a relief teacher for an hour or so last week, who was amazing, just like the normal teacher, young, realxed, but in control of the class. We're thinking about placement for next year too, but we don't know who will be teaching 1st grade yet. I've got one favourite so far from this years grade 1 crop, but we'll have to wait.
