Sam has expressed his sadness at the fact that he never actually proposed to me... our plans to get married sorta started out as more of a business plan
he wanted to go back to college and there was no way he could afford it because at his age his parents incomes still factored in (as far as financial aid goes) and since his parents were both divorced and re-married that was FOUR incomes - which added up to him not qualifying for squat

we got married - I mean we would have done it eventually anyway... but there was no real smooshy gooshy romance to the planning or whatever
just a 'hey if we get married you'll totally qualify for financial aid' WOO HOO
I gotta admit - I was thrilled with the idea because I don't know how long it would have taken him to get around to asking haaaa we had already been together 7 years at that point!!
anyway - YAY!! CONGRATULATIONS!! 
Oh that is SO romantic! You have great kids! Congratulations on the new daughter!
Now you get to go through all the wedding stuff and I get to WATCH! YAYYY! Hehehehe

kitty, Allan has never expressed regret that *I* did the proposing!! [and no, I didn't get down on my knee, I had my limits] But srsly, had I left it up to him, I'd still be waiting for him to ask the question. lol.
Mark told me that was one of the reasons he went to so much trouble with his proposal, he's heard our story many times over the years and didn't want Leah to tell their children someday that their father did NOTHING when he asked their mother to marry him. My husband is only upset that I didn't get down on one knee. What am I gonna do with him?
Anyway, thank you so much for the good wishes and hey - nothing says you and Sam can't get married again...after he proposes of course. Maybe then my husband would take the hint and follow Sam's example. Wishful thinking right?

I still feel odd that I was never asked properly; both times it was just assumed. I know it's silly but it just bugs me a little.
