I know this post is about something that began months ago - but still I can't help but warn you about the difficulty remaining in the grey area
in my (disturbingly extensive) experience it's virtually impossible to avoid feelings from one, the other or both sides that make maintaining a strictly online 'relationship' possible
but I'd be surprised if you haven't already learned this...
anyway - my fingers are crossed and I wish you the best luck with your situation!!
Kitty, as you say, this is only the beginning of the story. Where are we today? What has it done for you? What has it taken away from you?
While I agree with Kitty about the dangers, to be blunt, you are at a different point in your life than where Kitty was when she may have had similar issues. Yes, I mean age. Your age and your husband's age. It can make a difference. There can be a point where your spouse can't give you everything you need out of life. That doesn't mean you don't love them, even cherish them.
It's a fine line and it can get complicated. But as I said, there's a lot more to this story and we're looking foward to hearing it!
kitty, you know how much I value your opinion - you're a good friend. But you'll have to wait for the next installment(s) to see how this plays out. Unless of course you find time to Skype...then you get the story before anyone else. hah!

my comment was based on the fact that this is only the first part of what I'm sure is a long story - I expect to have to wait for more installments to see how it plays out
and I agree with Brian's point (even though I think it's a pointless point hehehe) - we are obviously at different points in our lives...
it really doesn't matter though... I obviously wasn't trying to change your mind or anything (especially since this is something that's been going on for a while anyway) which is why I made a point of mentioning that
my point was more like... I know you're new to what you're trying to do - and I have had several years of experience in the supposed grey area
age or no age - people are people and it's VERY difficult to maintain life in the grey area (if that is your plan)
which is what it sounded like to me based on the information I was given hehehe
that is all I was saying...
p.s. I don't think there are many spouses that can give their partner EVERYTHING they need out of life - that doesn't mean they are any less loved or cherished
