I love that hymn, and just recently found out it has 19 (!) verses...

Isn't that amazing? Part of the program of the Hymn Sing is to give some background on each of the hymns as well. I liked that idea, we do that at home before we start a new one so this will be a lot of fun to hear about some of the ones we haven't learned yet.

Hope the recording works.
We have an infrequent hymn sing too but it's mostly to try to learn new hymns..

Hi Carla. I think this is great. When our kids were small and thro' teen-age we called them music night's and I was usually in charge of getting it organized. I always made sure I had all the kids that wanted to participate in it . Not only singing but also if they played an instrument as well. The adults loved to see and hear the kids.It encouraged the kids to use their talents for the Lord.
Tell the kids Auntie Doris will be thinking about them and pray thy won't be too nervous.

Carla I forgot to ask you to tell the kids it is one of my favorite hymns and wish I could be there to hear them sing it.
