According to the Toronto Star, "Some experts suggested the high figures might be a reflection of abstinence-only sex education – a funding priority for the George W. Bush administration – as well as teens' own sense of invulnerability."
Right, because abstaining is how those girls ended up with STDs.

GM: don't you just love that line of reasoning? UGH. There is only one, Biblically founded God honoring way to avoid STDs. I guarantee, the public schools are NOT teaching that.
Doug: thank you.

Nice thoughts! I enjoyed your perspective and these authors...oh my. I don't know where to begin. I found their closing line somewhat ironic, however in their projection of our supposed fear of the "contaminating influence of what is commonly known as a liberal education."
If they are so "liberal" and liberal means tolerance, why are they so intolerant of those who disagree with them as to propose the state should regulate us all?

Hi Dana,
the thing with being a liberal is, you get to nod in approval of every twisted, ungodly lifetyle or idea, EXCEPT the ones that set God as the center.
There is no tolerance for the things of God, or Christian principle. It's just the way it works.
