Gravatar First

I just heard president bush say, "The enemies of freedom love chaos"

That's true - and he should know.

Gravatar I guess the message is: If you are white it ain't terrorism. Was McVeigh a terrorist? How many did he kill in Oklahoma.

Alabama Militia Accused of Plotting to Attack Mexican Immigrants

In Alabama, federal authorities have revealed they have broken up a militia plot to attack a group of Mexicans living in a small town north of Birmingham. Last week six members of the Alabama Free Militia were arrested in a series of raids. The Birmingham News reported police uncovered truckloads of explosives and weapons, including 130 grenades, an improvised rocket launcher and 2,500 rounds of ammunition. The six men appeared in court on Tuesday. Despite the violent plot, police did not accuse the men of terrorism. Instead police charged them with conspiracy to make a firearm, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The Anti-Defamation League said the weapons seizure was the largest in the South in years.

Gravatar So the 'new goal' for Iraq.. for Iraqi people to be comfortable with the level of violence going on around them..

This is a good one, I wonder what next months will be.

Gravatar A.) Yesterday was also LAW DAY ( a day to reflect on how important upholding the rule of law is to a democracy) which makes it ironic that it was also a day when thousands of people who are in this country illegally got out in our streets and DEMANDED privileges from our government (and, oddly enough, not one of them was arrested)

B.) Look at Bush's pictures this week, he looks like he's in the twilight zone.

Gravatar On Brian Williams and the debate, what if MSM held debates and nobody showed up?

We need to holds BLOG debates this season, otherwise, SPIN will WIN!

Gravatar The situation is making progress , our progress is creating situations .

Gravatar Beck says Gore is like Hitler?
OMG Al Gore is going to invade Poland!

Gravatar And Beck is like Baghdad Bob. He just says shit to hear his own voice.

Gravatar Tomorrow is "National Day of Prayer", which sounds like something Chimpy would do, but was actually set up by Religious Reich Wingnut James Dobson of "Focus on the Family".

Focus on your own damn family, Dobson.

JewsOnFirst.org reports that people of other faith traditions will be refused entry or sent away from these prayer meetings, which will be strategically located outside schools and government buildings.

The objective is clear - Dobson wants to paint America as a Christian nation and no other faiths need apply.

Having a national Day of Prey on the Eve of St George sounds kind of Catholic to me.

But then supposedly all evil thing have full sway on this eve, so I guess that would include Dobson and his group.

Gravatar just a friendly note, you left the of out in first sentence

A lot OF attention

A reader with OCD

Gravatar just kidding of course : )

Gravatar greyhawk | 05.02.07 - 11:51 am | #

Gore is just going for some nice Polska Kielbasa on a Kaiser roll with plenty of saurkraut.

Gravatar You can bet that if those Alabama militia people had been BLACKS, they would have been charged with Federal terrorism crimes.

Chimpy and Gonzo refuse to call racist whites terrorists, even when they do terrorist things, because racist white people are Chimpy's base.

Chimpy is also protecting an anti-Castro Cuban terrorist who blew up a Cuban airliner in the 1970s.

He is one of OUR terrorists.

Gravatar Undocumented workers are not demanding "privileges" from our government.

They're only demanding to be treated as human beings. That's not a special privilege.

They're here and they're doing our dirty work for us. The least we can do is to give them permanent residency.

Gravatar First they came for the illegals...

...But I wasn't an illegal, so I did not speak up...

Gravatar The American Heritage Dictionary Defines Terrorism as : "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons."

*Think 43 and 41

[43]
War is a science
A breeding ground for brains
For though I cannot write my name
The men whose pens have brought them fame
Write endless paragraphs explaining
My campaigns

Now when the foe see our soldiers marching
Through the lea
They will mount a charge and meet us at the point
I've labeled "B"
And their bowmen on the hill (In yellow on the map)
Will leave their posts to join the rest and fall
Into our trap
Then we'll cut off reinforcements and retreat of
Any kind
Bearing principles of enfilade and defilade in mind.

And then, and then
And gentlemen, and then....

[41]
And then the men go marching out into the fray
Conquering the enemy and carrying the day
Hark! The blood is pounding in our ears
Jubilations! We can hear a grateful nation's....

Pippin...

Gravatar Are the members of the Family Research Council aware of the fact that Hitchens is an admitted bisexual ?

Gravatar Thanks for the update Mike...

"Why do Americans increasingly hate Fox News?"
--> Propaganda with an Agenda.

And today we wonder what a retired FBI Special Agent, who exposed intelligence failures on 911, has to say..

And today we also remember... For those who dare not speak ... the Patriotic chorus of the Star Spangled Banner ends in a question mark.

Gravatar A shame I didn't know that yesterday was Loyalty Day. I could have let Bush know that I'm just loyal enough to him that I'd let him blow me.

Gravatar A call for scholarly creationist papers? This sounds like a job for the Journal of Irreproducible Results:

http://www.jir.com/

Gravatar Oh man, I LOVE the Journal of Irreproducible Results! Thanks for the link, didn't realize they were on-line now (although I'm surprised I'm surprised.)

Gravatar Yeah, The Journal of Irreproducible Results is actually linked in that Creation Research post. They could highlight some really funny send-ups, I'm sure. "Young-earth perspective" and "scholarly papers" just don't jive.

I enjoyed Scoobie Davis' piece, and have been intending to post on that Daily Howler dissection of Brian Williams, which is masterful.

Finally, Beck should not have a job. Isn't CNN embarrassed to have such a friggin' idiot on the air?

Gravatar I have a creationist scholarly paper for you.

In the Beginning, Connie served Bob chili with extra garlic, red pepper and jalapenos.

Bob doth farted a Big Bang of hot gas.

Bob seeth the hot gas and said, "Verily, it beith good, but something must contain the hot gas."

That's when He in His infinite hangover created Republican politicians.

Gravatar nonny mouse | 05.02.07 - 1:39 pm |

nonny,

I've been reading the JIR for decades. Some of the best satire in existence.

Gravatar I can't figure out which I find more disturbing--Cause For Concern's photoshop of a pot-induced hallucination of a semi-naked David Hasselhoff, or the amazingly large number of "anonymous" responses to his post on pot use. Ahem.
