What is wrong with plagiarism anyway? In the ancient times, a lot of the Bible chapters and texts are plagiarised to spread the word of GOD. I say, let her be free to speak her mind and for our chosen nationalist president, President Bush.

True, and many of the monks who "plagiarized" the bible actually wrote "notes in the margins" and eventually they got copied into Cannon... Thanks for pointing out how the Bible "grew" into what it is today. Those who think God's "word" is "set in stone" need to know these things.

Ann Coulter whips up the GOP political base into an angry frenzy by putting up straw targets and urges her base to kill anyone who disagrees with her.
But she can't even compose her own words!
Let's hope this plagiarism angle is the beginning of the end of Coulter's sorry, unChristian "career."

I never understood what the big deal about Ann Coulter is. I guess the GOP like to parade around their "Uncle Tom" of transgender individuals. They must like the idea that not all transgender individuals are believe in gay marriage and what not. I just don't understand why they think hypocrisy is such a great thing though.
If Coulter wants to say she's a woman, I'll respect her wishes. I think people in this country are free to live as they wish.

"Let her be free to speak her mind..." This is the crux of the problem. She is not speaking her mind. She is stealing the words and thoughts of others without acknowledging that those words and thoughts rightfully belonged to someone else. Coulter has engaged in intellectual thievery and her publisher, if they had an ounce of integrity [ a rare trait, that], should drop her as a client and she should be scorned as a pariah among the rest of the publishing houses.

who can say they are really surprised by this?
(m)ann coulter's habit of lying has been well documented, now her practice of lifting material from the equally compromised heritage foundation is exposed. (m)ann stealing from the coors, or err heritage foundation--i can't even pretend to be shocked.
coulter plagarizes... what will that change?
absolutely nothing.
the ratings-crazed MSM will continue to offer her guests spots, knowing that her polarizing qualities will draw viewers to watch the skanky trainwreck.
those that consider themselves fans, or deciples, spawn, whatever, won't be phased in the slightest. if exposing her blatant lies and her nazi-inspired rhetoric are not enough to wake these wingnuts up a little, plagarizism won't bother them at all. they'll make excuses, just like they did for her lies and hate speech. especially since she stole material from the heritage foundation, which if you are not familiar with this racist, elitist and pro-pollution group--educate yourself.

there is the potential for (m)ann to get a lot more media coverage. coulter's lightening rod ass (and shape) coupled with questions of plagiarism might cause the MSM to ask her to come on various shows to ask her about the charges.
this is the putrid environment that coulter thrives in. she'll match questions about plagiarism with blatant lies and threats. in the end, the only that will come of it will be another opportunity for this ethically challenged hate monger to spew her filth.

i'm wondering, when it comes down to it, how coulter's plagiarism of heritage foundation material is much different from GOP talking points.
plagiarism is different from repeating talking points handed down from the GOP elite, but not by much. theoretically its about the same thing.
coulter and the heritage foundation are ideologically one in the same. those who were plagiarized won't seek damages, nor raise this issue. i contend that this is a bonus for the reichwing think tank--their goal is to get their suspect and paid-for messages out to the public and what a better way to do it then have coulter spread their message.

This is something I need explained to me, please help me out. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a writer. One of the reasons I never followed through is because it's damned hard trying to find original thoughts and put them to paper in an original way. I bust my ass here trying to post original comments and if I do use someone else's comments I try to give a hat tip. (Miss Kitty, I give you a mental hat tip everytime I use the term "twonk" when some jackass cuts me off on the freeway)Anyhoo, why can't rightwingers see this? Writing is an art and a craft and to me stealing someone else's words is the same as stealing a car from a car dealer or bread from a baker. Two different mind sets I guess.

You would hope something would happen to Ann Coulter who repeatedly uses other sources without attribution and probably without permission.
I guess its just the good providers of information, who get held accoutntable. Reminds me of Doris Kearns Goodwin who recently wrote "Team of Rivals : The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln" who got some pretty bad treatment for a technical plagiarism from a previous book in 1987, and still gets asked about plagiarism when on circuit with her new book. She had footnoted up the whazoo, admits to making a mistake, settles out of court, gets defended by many prominent historians, and yets get villified by corporate america for neglecting to track a common source (of which she had permission to quote) to multiple phrases in her notes (and therefore did not get attributed in her book). In other words, the appearance of unintended technical plagiarism on one of her sources.

Ann Coulter... criminy, ain't she circling the drain YET???? Seems like she's a least 5 minutes past her 15.....
Strawberry, whatever you do, don't use a liquid product to try and clean it.. if that goop got inside... And no store bought soap if you have to pop the top... Screwdiver, damp towelettes maybe, depending on how bad it is, mostly you're going to have to whipe it with a dry soft cloth rag, try to avoid paper, you can end up with little bits left inside after the fact. Might need a toothbrush for under or inbetween components etc... make sure it's not still plugged in and make sure you don't loose the little screws..
I know, a lot of that may seem so common sense as to be insulting, but you'd be as surprised at what I've seen adults do with an electrical appliance as question girl was with the kids and the grilled cheese in the vcr... You can probably get away with moist towlettes but you'd be better advised to do any cleaning in as 'dry' a manner as possible.
All that said, remember you just read advice from a guy who works in IT and have seen the insides of servers but has never cracked open an xbox ever... regards and good luck.......JD

Since she clearly stole her look from Courtney Love, and her mannerisms from Rosanne Barr, I'm not surprised to hear she'd steal half of her words from George Will or Billy Crystal. But I'm not so sure that plagiarism is a deal-breaker in the wide world of politics and infotainement. If plagiarism was a disqualifier in politics, I think Ronald Reagan would have been 'expelled' back in the early 80s.

Look at all the famous authors who have been caught plagiarizing. They're making more money than ever.

Poor Ann! she doesn't make enough money off her plagiarism to feed herself properly.
Or perhaps all her hefty book advances are going straight to the coke dealer.
Either way, her arguments (just like her promotional photos) are wearing THIN.

Mann Coulter's book has to be a real intellectually stimulating adventure. Let me guess: I hate Liberals. I love Fascist-Rightwinged-Republicans....signed Mann Coulter.

You'd think her idiocy and trash mouth alone would destroy her. Check out this Hannity and Colmes featuring the she-wolf of the RNC.

Ann Coulter
her science chapters appear to be good examples of plagiarism,
they are very similar to the writings of a failed high school
student's science papers. Her science chapters are much too
similar to the high school student that flunked. It is very
difficult for me to accept that she or her readers are that stupid.

If the Rupert Murdoch's right wing leaning New York Post is covering this story about Ann Coulter's plagerism problem, then something must be afoot. I think she turned off lots of people in New York with her attacks on the 9-11 widows, and the writers and Editors at the Post are obviously jumping on the bandwagon with negative stories about Ann, which seem to indicate she's headed for the scrap heap.
The wording in her latest book seemed suspicious to me. If she wasn't plagarizing, I had a feeling someone was telling her what to say because I have rarely heard one woman call another "broad" or "harpie". Broad is an old fashion word rarely used by women to describe eachother. Bitch is usually the word used when one woman doesn't like another.
If she is a plagarist, its just another reason for her to hang her head in shame. If the charges are true, she should be fired, and her books and columns pulled. If they aren't, those whose work was stolen should sue. I can't wait for the fireworks to begin so we'll hear the last of this soulless "harpie" who never has anything good to say. She needs to go before she gets someone killed.
