Hey, American right wingers, you just keep trying to convince yourself and the world that you're the good guys. 80% of the people in the world know who the bad guys are now, just as they knew in the 1930's.
The good guys (and that doesn't mean perfect) don't have to constantly and thoroughly dupe their citizens with lies.

American presidents don’t lie all the time. Theodore Roosevelt put it clearly in 1897 when he wrote, “I should welcome almost any war, for I think this country needs one.”
Because while the mice are at war, the cats are at play.
As time goes by

(snip)
In 1946, a long sword secretly sneered as he returned to West Germany in 1946 with a neat mandate to rebuild an espionage organization. It was a fair deal. Dulles and the CIA heard what they wanted to hear from Gehlen’s Org (half of which was bullocks), while Gehlen was able to set up a Post-Nazi Employment Office, which recycled thousands of non-biodegradable ex-Gestapo, Wermacht and SS veterans into “fighters for the free world,” including the likes of Klaus Barbie - the Butcher of Lyon, and Emil Augsburg, the Nazi officer of the infamous Wannsee Institute, an SS think tank which planned the Final Solution. The same Augsburg wanted by Poland for war crimes who was described by the CIA in 1952 as “Honest and idealist … enjoys good food and wine … unprejudiced mind.”
1942: A good year for family values. Under the Trading with the Enemy Act, the US government orders the seizure of Nazi German banking operations in New York City, which were being directed by Prescott Bush.
Shucks, Grandpa.
Grandpa was the chief financial officer of Dresser Industries, which supplied oil-related equipment to the Rockefeller Standard Oil. Gramps was also a director of Nazi-front company Hamburg-Amerika Line, whose chairman Emil Helfferich, was also the chairman of the Standard Oil’s German subsidiaries. One of Hamburg-Amerika’s partners is I.G. Farben, the German industrial giant which produced Zyklon B, the poison gas used to murder Jews, Gypsies and Russians . IG Farben also built and operated more than forty concentration camps, including Auschwitz.
World War II was an interesting time. “Ford trucks were being built for German occupation troops in France with authorization from Dearborn, Michigan” while the head of the international American telephone conglomerate ITT “was flying from New York to Madrid to Berne to help improve Hitler's communications systems and improve the robot bombs that devastated London.”
When it was revealed at the conclusion of World War II that I.G. Farben owned thirty percent of Standard Oil stock, a man by the name of Allen Dulles was hired by Standard Oil to represent it before the US Congress and the Federal Court. I.G. Farben was later split up by the Allies at the end of the war into different companies, one of which was a firm called Bayer – which happens to have interesting links with the Carlyle Group, where the Bush family happens to be a major player and which also has just as interesting business ties with a family called the Bin Ladens (and which counts as a member a certain Philippine president by the name of Fidel V. Ramos).
All together now … “You must remember this, the thief is still a
thief, a lie is still a lie, the fundamental things apply as time goes by
...”
gotta remember who we're dealing with, where did saddam get his weapons of mass destruction in the first place ?? hum ??
don't forget who NOW owns dresser industries: halliburton
oh, on an unrelated note, remember bush's state of the union speaches where he keeps blabbering on about asbestos lawsuit reform ??

To another topic that was discussed in another thread last night...
This link worked last evening and is an extremely damning video of Bush at the Monday evening Kilgore rally and then getting off Air Force One with Laura. HE IS DRUNK IN THE VIDEO. Period. I have been around enough drunk people in my life to know what drunk is...
Now....the website is completely down and noone seems to be able to come up with the video. How can that be? I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to do whatever...but surely SOMEONE out there has a copy of the video. I think the first part was from some Virginia TV stations...showing highlihgts of the rally.
Here is the original link:

Thanks, Strawberry, for the welcome!
I'm sure I will soon feel comfortable enough to speak out more often. I'm extremely vocal and active in my 'real life'...but have only very recently started blogging. I think I'm a little overwhelmed at the number of sites and the sheer...AMOUNT OF INFORMATION.

Capitol Hill Blue/DOUG THOMPSON | November 12 2005
Comment: This document adds to the mountanous pile of smoking gun evidence of government complicity in staged terror attacks and other false flag operations. It has now been declassified, as we already knew, that the Gulf of Tonkin never happened. It was staged to get us into Vietnam. Operation Northwoods was the official US government plan to carry out 9/11 style attacks against the American people and blame it on foreign enemies as a pretext for war.
Read below as governmental leaders salivate over how wonderful a devastating terror attack would be against the American people for their policies, it would force us to accept total enslavement. It goes on to talk about our sorrow and pain and how it could be directed. I've been reading Capitol Hill Blue for years and they are one of the most impeccable sources we have found.
Publicly published PNAC documents before 9/11 had saliva stains all over them as Dick Cheney and others talked about helpful Pearl Harbor attacks. Prison Planet.com recently interviewed Conservative leader Paul Craig Roberts and he stated that we're in real danger of the Bush administration staging terror attacks to defiblrilate their agenda.
---------------------------------
A confidential memo circulating among senior Republican leaders suggests that a new attack by terrorists on U.S. soil could reverse the sagging fortunes of President George W. Bush as well as the GOP and "restore his image as a leader of the American people."
The closely-guarded memo lays out a list of scenarios to bring the Republican party back from the political brink, including a devastating attack by terrorists that could “validate” the President’s war on terror and allow Bush to “unite the country” in a “time of national shock and sorrow.”
The memo says such a reversal in the President's fortunes could keep the party from losing control of Congress in the 2006 midterm elections.
GOP insiders who have seen the memo admit it’s a risky strategy and point out that such scenarios are “blue sky thinking” that often occurs in political planning sessions.
“The President’s popularity was at an all-time high following the 9/11 attacks,” admits one aide. “Americans band together at a time of crisis.”
Other Republicans, however, worry that such a scenario carries high risk, pointing out that an attack might suggest the President has not done enough to protect the country.
“We also have to face the fact that many Americans no longer trust the President,” says a longtime GOP strategist. “That makes it harder for him to become a rallying point.”
The memo outlines other scenarios, including:
--Capture of Osama bin Laden (or proof that he is dead);
--A drastic turnaround in the economy;
--A "successful resolution" of the Iraq war.
GOP memos no longer talk of “victory” in Iraq but use the term “successful resolution.”.

Compassionate Conservatism"
George Bush was spending some time at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. One afternoon, he was riding in the back of his official limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the roadside. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. "Why are you eating grass?" he asked one man..
"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied.
"Oh, well, you can come with me to my ranch," instructed the president.
"But, sir, I have a wife and two children with me!"
"Bring them along!" replied the president. He turned to the other man and said "You come with us, too".
"But, sir, I have a wife and six children!" the second man answered.
"Bring them as well," answered Bush as he headed for his limo. They all climbed in, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine.
Once underway, one of the poor fellows said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."
Bush replied, "Glad to do it. You'll love my place... the grass is almost a foot tall!"

But, Senator, what the Democrats stood for on the floor of the Senate in 2002--let me show you who said what I just read: John Kerry, your candidate for president. He was talking about a nuclear threat from Saddam Hussein. Hillary Clinton voted for the war. John Edwards, Joe Lieberman, John Kerry. Democrats said the same things about Saddam Hussein. You, yourself, said, "Saddam is dangerous. He's got dangerous weapons." It wasn't just the Bush White House.
Has the whole left of the aisle forgotten that the CIA was run by George Tenant Clinton appointee and Democrat? I am stunned that they can even get this **** out of their mouth.
Bill Clinton had dodged the draft during the Vietnam War and used marijuana, which he claimed he had smoked, but "didn't inhale." A classic lie. i wonder if he was that dumb to tell the police that if he got pulled over. cheach, chong, and bill clinton. "i smoked it but did not inhale" i had sex with Monica Lewinsky but what happend was i fell down and my dick got stuck. it was an accident...LOL!
Clinton was the second U.S. president to be impeached by the House of Representatives.Clinton initially denied having any improper relationship with Lewinsky, but later admitted that it had in fact taken place. He apologized to the nation for his actions. RATS LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
a failed attempt to create a comprehensive health care system under a plan developed by the First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. In the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the independent investigating commission was critical of Clinton for focusing more on diplomatic than military means to eliminate the bin Laden threat.
In addition to impeachment and the Whitewater scandal, the Clinton White House was the subject of many scandals. Travelgate refers to the firing of White House travel office staffers allegedly to give business to Clinton's cousin and utilize the plane of Harry Thomason. Filegate refers to White House handling of hundreds of personnel files from individuals without asking for their permission. The White House explanation was that it was merely a "bureaucratic snafu." Chinagate involved Democrats accepting improper campaign contributions; allegedly the ultimate source of this money was the Chinese government. Pardongate refers to a grant of clemency to FALN members in 1999 and pardons to his brother and others in 2001 (see Clinton's Pardons List). In March, 1998 Kathleen Willey, a White House aide, alleged that Clinton had sexually assaulted her. Also in 1998, Juanita Broaddrick alleged that Clinton had raped her in 1978. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy was acquitted on each of 30 charges of illegally accepting gifts such as sports tickets, lodging, and transportation from companies regulated by his department in exchange for favors. Sounds like mr clinton was more on the lines of one horney rat even knowing he is married. MORE LIES FROM THE RATS!
HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for misstating to the FBI the amount of money he gave his girlfriend.Clinton friend and confidant Vince Foster is found dead of a gunshot wound; later determined to be suicide. sounds like they toke hime out because he know to much.
this man is crazy!
Former President Bill Clinton said that he supports the efforts of Louis Farrakhan and the Million More March.
Clinton said that the gathering - formally announced last week by Minister Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Rev. Jesse L. Jackson - could train a positive spotlight on critical issues impacting African Americans. When will Clinton? And when will the ADL have the guts to condemn/criticize/confront an ex-president who is now an enabler of the pied piper of racism and anti-Semitism?Despite repeated calls to the Anti-Defamation League’s press office over several days, I couldn’t get any one to talk to me about Clinton’s endorsement of Farrakhan’s march and, by extension, of Farrakhan.
With Clinton standing proudly at his side, perhaps Farrakhan will elucidate some of the other esoteric aspects of his theology - how the white race is the result of a genetic experiment by an evil black scientist, named Yacub, 6,000 years ago. Or how the minister was taken up to a UFO "mothership" where he got the inspiration for the original Million Man March. (Beam him up, Adolph.)
Farrakhan is an uber-bigot. Clinton is a boob. The ADL is a pathetic fraud. The next time you hear Foxman wailing and rending his garments over anti-Semitism, remember how Clinton’s TLC for the Nation of Islam got a free pass from the ADL.
so to some this all up about CLINTON and the domcratic party. THEY ARE RACIST AGAINST WHITES, THEY MURDER,THEY RAPE,THEY STEAL.AND HAND OUT FREE PASS TO RACISM AGAINST WHITES! WHAT A WIGGER! AND THE RATS!
Bill clinton smoking pot on the wall waiting for the mother ship!

Yep, Strawberry...I have to say that reading what some of the trolls have to say is extremely entertaining. I have trouble believing that some of them are real, however! And, I agree that for the most part, they should just be ignored. It's hard to do but; we truly have to pick our fights.
I believe that the mentality of most of the 25-30% core Shrub base is not that of people able to truly engage in logical/rational give and take. They, for the most part, are told how to think by their religious leader...much as the Muslim masses are told how to think by their religious leaders. There is really not that much difference, you know?
These folks basically go to church and their pastors/ministers/priests/ tell them that Shrub is God's man in the White House and that they should support him. So they do. Period. End of story. No argument, logical or nonsensical, would make them deviate from the talking points. It's a matter of 'faith' for them.
That's why, in my opinion, the big issue is two fold.
1) We MUST fix our voting. There is NO EXCUSE for the screw ups that have taken place and continue to take place without any accountability. I know the argument has been put out there that it's all tied up in corruption and politics and Ohio and I do not doubt that. However..the point is...we have to focus on that. Until the corrput, corporate criminals that control our 3 BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT are stopped....it won't matter who votes or how they vote.
2) We MUST convince more progressive/liberal/left wing/smart/Christian/Muslim/Jew/
middleoftheroaders/veterans/peaceniks/..
everyone....EVERYONE...that voting is the only way this form of democracy works.
IMNTBHO...the reason it's not working is because we have allowed a very vocal, VOTING minority to write the agenda. The reason for this is that the evangelicals have a MUCH better voting record than does any constituency that would tend to vote progressive/liberal.
Ok...well...Now aren't you sorry you welcomed me, Strawberry? That's my Saturday night sermon for the week. You may go back to whatever you were doing, boys and girls!

This is what iam talking about !!!!!
(The democratic Media Double Standard)
Perazzo shows that the news media try to cover up the fact that many black attacks on whites are motivated by racial hatred. The murder of six and wounding of 17 passengers on a Long Island train by Colin Ferguson on Dec. 7, 1993, is a notable example. Perazzo writes: "While all local news broadcasts that evening led with this story, and every New York newspaper gave it front-page headlines the following day, not a single report mentioned the gunman's skin color. Clothing color, however, was somehow deemed newsworthy by the New York Times, which provided the media's most detailed description of the shooter as 'a husky-looking man dressed in white....Ferguson openly acknowledged that he had acted for purely racial reasons. (This) forced the media to report...not only that the gunman was black, but that every one of his victims was either white or Asian.'"
There were no reports on the literature found in Ferguson's room, and despite his admission of his motive, a New York Times editorial said, "The usual imperative of those who would contemplate an event like (the) Long Island Rail Road massacre is to 'make sense' of it. While the wish is reasonable, no more sense can be made of such a thing than of a typhoon or cyclone. Forget the gunman's declared motive of racial hatred: when someone with a semiautomatic weapon starts perforating citizens en masse, the question of motive evaporates."
Perazzo points out that no such analysis was made of the motive in "any instance of white-on-black crime in memory." He says that in those cases, "civil rights leaders and social commentators were virtually unanimous in attributing the perpetrators' violence to racism. Colin Ferguson was, for the most part, exempted from such charges; the slaughter he engineered was widely accepted as the bitter fruit of a crazed man's mental imbalance." The most important lesson the major media found in this case was that handguns are the problem, not antiwhite racism. The media gave more attention to Ferguson's gun than to the ideas that had been planted in his head by influential blacks, helping fuel the drive for stronger gun control.
The contrast between the media coverage of this and other black-on-white murders and white-on-black murders is mind-boggling. Typically, in the black-on-white cases there is little or no national coverage of the story. If it is covered, the race of the killer is reported belatedly, if at all, and there is little or no investigation of whether or not he hates whites. If there is such evidence, the authorities try to keep it under wraps and the media refrain from doing their own investigations. These stories have no legs. They generate no public outrage and are soon forgotten. That, of course, is the objective of both the authorities and the media.
The white-on-black murders get exactly the opposite treatment. They get heavy coverage in the print and electronic media. The racial views of the perpetrators are investigated. If they are found to have a record of being antiblack, that becomes the story. It may become the story even if there no evidence to support it. The memory of the crimes are kept alive for years, and some of them even get into the history books. They generate outrage on the part of both whites and blacks, and they are added to the arsenals of those who are striving to inflame racial hatred against whites.
Howard Beach: White On Black
The death of a 23-year-old black named Michael Griffiths on Dec. 19, 1986 in the white, middle-class community of Howard Beach in Queens, New York illustrates this contrast. Perazzo devotes five pages in his book to what happened there and the aftermath. This is a brief summary.
Griffiths and two friends had car trouble and went to Howard Beach to make a phone call. They were accosted by a dozen white teenagers who shouted racial epithets and attacked them with a baseball bat and tree limbs after one of the blacks flashed a knife and returned their racial insults. One of them ran off after being hit in the head with a bat. Griffiths and the other victim were badly beaten, but they managed to escape. Griffiths ran onto a parkway, was hit by a car and killed.
This Perazzo writes: "The public clamor over this incident was deafening, the media coverage immense....Newspapers, magazines and broadcast stations across the nation examined the attack in extraordinary depth...." Demonstrations erupted, resulting in more news coverage. Mayor Ed Koch said, "This was the worst murder I believe has taken place in the modern era." Marches and demonstrations proliferated. Blacks armed with bats attacked whites, crying, "Howard Beach." The youths who attacked Michael Griffiths were convicted of manslaughter, since they didn't actually kill him. Hundreds of protesting blacks blocked rush-hour traffic in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Wilkinsburg: Black On White
On March 1, 2000, John Kroll, 55, was finishing up putting a new door on the apartment of Ronald Taylor in Wilkinsburg, a small town near Pittsburgh. Taylor, irritated by how long it was taking, first threatened to kill John DeWitt, 63, who was helping Kroll install the door. Emerging with a .22 caliber revolver, Taylor shot Kroll in the chest, killing him. Unable to find DeWitt, he headed for a Burger King up the street, where he killed Joseph Healey, 71, a part-time preacher at the Christian Church.
Crossing the street to a McDonald's, Taylor shot Richard Clinger, 56, in the head. He survived, but will never be normal. He then entered the restaurant and wounded Steven Bostard, 25, the assistant manager. He next shot and fatally wounded Emil Sanielevici, 20, who was waiting to be served at the drive-in window. He proceeded to Ross St., where he reloaded his gun and told a group of men, "I'm going down in a blaze of glory, and I'll shoot anybody white." All of Taylor's victims were white.
Fleeing to a building, he threatened three white women, telling a young black, "Not you, sister. You go." He grabbed a lady's arm, saying, "You look like a smart, white bitch. I won't shoot you; I'll terrorize you." He fled into another room, surrendering to the police a few hours later. He told the police he had some mental problems. He lived on Social Security SSI payments.
Taylor's crimes were motivated by an intense hatred of whites. Three good men died and two were seriously injured because he hated whites who paid most of the taxes that enabled him to eat and live in subsidized housing without working. He even hated those who worked to fix his door. Antiwhite writings were found in his apartment. Those who nurtured Taylor's hate share responsibility for the murders, but the police would not reveal their names or their messages.
There were no demonstrations to protest Taylor's deeds, no sermons condemning blacks. Leaflets reading "Black Crime, White Victims" and urging whites to "stand up and fight" circulated in a few nearby towns. They were denounced as the product of "hate groups" seeking to exacerbate tensions. The police investigated them. At the church where the murdered Joe Healey had preached, mourners were urged to pray for Ronald Taylor too "because he's one of God's children."

No, a public domain in the internet would be .gov or .org. A domain that ends in .com in paid for with private funds, and is privately owned.
Kind of like the distinction between public schools, paid for by public funds, and private schools, paid for by private funds. That's why prayer and religious displays are allowed in private schools and are not questioned by the government, or organizations like the ACLU.

Since this is a open thread I thought I would ask a question.
Do you think that the bird flu will effect the political balance of the country?
I know this sounds like a odd question but I understand that if the bird flu comes to the america it will hit the metropolitan areas the hardest because there is more human to human contact in the larger cities. This in turn will cause a quicker spread of the disease leading to more deaths.
Most (not all) of our base support comes from large cities, and most (not all) of the right wing votes come from the rural areas of the country. So that leads me to think that the H5N1 virus would kill more of the left then the right. With the death rate of the Flu being estimated at 50%, that could kill most of our base leading to a unbalance in the political field. I know that it would effect the right too, but it seams like it would hurt us the most. And you can read how unprepared we are here http://www.npr.org/templates/sto...&
sourceCode=gaw So you can see why I am so worried.
Like I said, I am just asking a question, I am not here to argue. So whiteman please do not answer.

One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998-Truth!
This was a quote from President Clinton during a presentation at the Pentagon defending a decision to conduct military strikes against Iraq.
If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.
We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998-Truth!
Bill Clinton went to the Pentagon on this occasion to be briefed by top military officials about Iraq and weapons of mass destruction.
His remarks followed that briefing.
Iraq is a long way from USA but, what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998-Truth!
This is a quote from Albright during an appearance at Ohio State University by Albright, who was Secretary of State for Bill Clinton.
He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."

The Middle East mess is centuries old. Every colonizing, imperialist country in the world has messed with the Middle East.
There's one colony there right now that is the crux of the major problems in the Middle East, and that's Israel.
And the United States is the power behind Israel. And Great Britain is right in there with us.
I don't think the core of the current problems can be blamed on Russia, France and Germany. Obviously, if the United States had not intervened covertly when the Soviet Union was attempting expansion, much of the Soviet influence would probably have dissipated anyway.
But you know, I could be wrong.

Bush manipulated the intel, and misrepresented the intent, and other pre-meditated the war, and he started the war, in volation of the specific limits that some in Congress wanted to put on the resolution and in violation of UN accords.

I agree, RR. I think there are possible solutions where Israel can co-exist with Arab states in the Middle East, with Israel as a sovereign state.
The problem is Israel as an apartheid, religious state.

Now I understand why the muslim world didn't like Bush's use of the word "crusade."

Anti-Zionism is the conviction that Israel, of all the world's countries, does not have the right to exist. It is the conviction that the determination of what constitutes Israel's "secure and defensible borders" should not be made by the Israeli people, either directly or via representation. It is discrimination or double standards against Israel, even if because of ignorance; the criticism of Israel while displaying relative silence on often much more pressing and tragic situations all around the world.

You're an idiot, Batman. Israel as an apartheid religious, where only people of one religion have a right to be citizens, does not have a right to exist when it usurped the rights of the people who lived there since long before it was created.
If Iran shouldn't be a fascist religious state then neither should Israel. The creation and expansion and defense of Israel as a separatist, religious state has done more to strengthen other fascist religious states in the Middle East than anything else.

Korry -- Here's some more that shows what a hypocritical racist you are.
Zionism, even as a code word, is the litmus test with respect to anti-Semitism throughout the world, even in America. The facile rhetorical linkage of Zionism with imperialism and racism is little more than an admission that Jews are uniquely not entitled to be like everyone else and live as citizens as part of a majority in a nation, for better or for worse. Zionism, as mirrored in the State of Israel, has proven the point that Jews are in fact just human. Israel has displayed a full range of human achievement and weakness and of decency and its absence common to all nations. Comparatively speaking, one can make the case that Israel has behaved better, given its circumstances. The anti-Zionist, like the anti-Semite a century ago, does not allow the Jew the privilege of normalcy.

You believe that, Batman, because you've bought into Zionist propaganda that's been perpetuated here for decades.
Apartheid and oppression are no more acceptable in Israel than they are anywhere else. It wasn't okay in South Africa, it's not okay in Israel. It's not okay in Iran, it's not okay in Israel.
And my tax dollars, as part of the $3-5 billion every year that supports apartheid, oppression and genocide in the Middle East, by Israel, is not okay.
And the covert terrorism that happens in various parts of the world, that's perpetrated by Mossad, and CIA and M16 and blamed on Muslim fundamentalists in order to inflame hatred and fear towards Muslims and justify Israeli fascism, apartheid and oppression is not okay.
You want to buy into the information that Israel chooses to feed the world media about who their government an military are and how they behave you go right ahead. I think that makes you an ignorant, ditto head, bigoted sheep.

RR - No, as far as I am concerned the Palestenians no longer have any rights to exist. They forfeited that right when they vowed to kill all Jews everywhere. Their policy is one of aniahlation, genocide. They named their own poison when they did that. They are murderers and cowards. They are part of the Muslim beast that must be eraticated.
Korry, you are dangerous and depraved for standing with the enemy. I am not Jewish but Israel has stood with America and vice-versa. Together, we stand against the Muslim beast. You have chosen your side. Live with it and die with it, traitor.

Batman, I do understand your point of view, I've heard it many times.
However, can you see things from the Palestinian point of view? They had been living there for millennia and then in 1954, they are put into somewhat arbitrary encampments, stripped of their rights, and treated like sub-humans.
Wouldn't you be the least bit pissy about that? These are people fighting with rocks against heavy artillery. Doesn't seem like a fair fight, does it?
I'm not saying that the Palestinians were innocent in this matter. Arafat was an evil man, more concerned with his ego than with the welfare of his people.
But to dismiss the human rights breaches of the Israelis against the Palestinians seems like you're the one with the racist attitudes.

The people of Israel are not my enemy. Palestinians are not my enemy. Muslims are not my enemy.
Lying, fascist, genocidal, war mongering, terrorizing, oil grabbing governments who weild the world's military might are the enemy of all human rights on the planet.
And like I said, you are an ignorant, ditto head, bigoted sheep, who accepts the "enemy" you've been fed to justify fascist nationalism and the move for global domination, and the genocide of a significant percentage of the non-white people of the world.

A good friend of mine from college has a severely autistic son, but it was clear from the get-go that he had developmental issues. He never came close to achieving milestones in the 'normal' range (he didn't walk until 3 or 4 and he didn't speak in sentences until the age of .
However, one of my clients has a son with Asperger's and she is convinced that the MMR had something to do with his setback, because he was developing normally until about 2 and then he started regressing in speech and social patterns.

Robert Kennedy Jr. has been a vocal opponent of the thimeserol additive (I think that's the mercury derivative of which you speak) to vaccines. Have you seen his articles on it?
I'm just curious if you noted a halt or regression in your twins' development around the 18-24 month mark concurrent with the MMR vaccine. Like I said, I've heard both sides of the argument and I'd like to know anecdotally what your experience was.

It's amazing, you liberals. It's not widely reported or even recognized that it is the liberals and Democrats who actually run the government. yeah, the big profile offices are manned by Republicans but he in the trenchs are the Democrat workers who do the daily grind in the State Dept., Treasury,

Well the interesting thing I noticed is that since both twins got the vaccines at differnt times(Thaine was much smaller than Blayne) they developed symptoms at differnt times but right after receiving the shots. That to me shows difinitive proof that the MMR caused the autism. But I do need to read Kennedy's book. He's got enough clout to help us out.

Wrath, re-read my last ssentence. I did not say liberals hate America. I said "I mean, how may ways can you say you hate Bush and the gang?". Really, how many ways can liberals say they hate? And if all you liberals see are the wrongs of America, then what does it say about you? We never here you liberals say what is right about America. We only here from liberals about how many people we've bombed and starved and tortured and on and on. Conservatives see a lot wrong, but we work toward righting those wrongs. There are the ones like Pat Robertson who is "over the top" with his outlandish statements. Any reasonable person would distance themselves from people like him. Yeah, there are Rightwing hatemongers(Glenn Beck)on talk radio, but there are also Leftwing hatemongers on radio and other media. Randi Rhodes?

Batman this is the last time I'll post to you tonight. We liberals don't hate like the right wing nut jobs do. We may come here and vent but I as a liberal, military, democrat, would be the first to defend your right to call me all the nasty names you have tonight and in the past. I would die to defend your right to free speech. That is what I love about America. Just because I hate Bush does not mean I hate America or even you. I don't hate you, for fucks sake, I don't even know you. Nobody here can really say we hate you. Yes, you piss us off, but hate no. Have you heard of chelation therapy? If you really did observe a regression after the MMR, it may be something to consider.
http://autism.about.com/cs/chela...elationtherapy/
My friend with the Asperger's child swears by it. Her son did regress, which would indicate some sort of sensitivity that the mercury/thimeserol took advantage of. My friend with the severely autistic son never saw a regression, so he has opted not to look into chelation.

It got appreciably better during the Clinton administration, but that's all gone to hell now, thanks to the Republicans.
I don't think it's quite that simple, and that it so neatly divides down party lines like that...as in conservatives are always bad and liberals are always good. It may have been better if Clinton were more liberal.

Not sure what universe you live in Batman but if that inane garbage is what you think represents San Francisco you better put down your NRA magazine and National Enquirer and get a clue. Or maybe you had a flashback on the LSD, who knows.
The idea that we would adopt conservative Republican values given a good chunk of your current corrupt leadership is indicted or under investigation, and are led by the worst president in modern times is truly laughable.
The hacks that compose the "leadership" in your party are clueless on what leadership really is. And lying, manipulation, and blame are not leadership virtues.
You and your band of troglodite criminals are going to get a major ass kicking next November. You lost big time already in Virginia, California, and New Jersey. And trust me pal, I'll be working very hard to make sure you lose in the 47 other states too.

Batman, the single most egregious example of activist judges was Bush v. Gore. Ask any lawyer with a constitutional background.
Can you name a SF ruling that would fall under judicial activism?
The rest of that are just trotting out tired old talking points that irk up the Christian Right.
I am a married heterosexual. My marriage is neither threatened or demeaned if gays wish to commit to each other. By the way, they were civil unions, not marriages.
Gun control laws were voted on by the electorate, not by the government nor the judicial branch. If the majority of people in SF want gun control, what's it to you?
Your issues with homosexuality notwithstanding, there are gay pride parades in every major city in the US, it is not a strictly a SF phenomena. What I love about my hometown is that we are libertarians in the best sense of the word. If you aren't hurting anyone else, we think you should do your thing, with no governmental interference. That USED to be a Republican platform before the neocons hijacked them into this Orwellian nightmare.
I've yet to find free drugs in SF (even medical marijuana must be purchased), but I have seen punks trying to sell oregano. Are you opposed to the selling of herbs as well?
The free needle program has helped stem the increase in AIDS infection, which is not limited to the homosexual community and if I may be crass, taxes all of us with the costs in healthcare.
Berkeley, btw, is on the other side of the bay. I'm not sure how that gets lumped in. There is an extreme form of liberalism being practiced by some in Berkeley, but if you don't live there, I don't see how it affects you any more than the narrow-minded idiocy of the Kansas school board affects me.
"Communist" professors? What are you, McCarthy? When all else fails, just trot out that tired meme? Dude, I went to college in Southern California--had a Communist poli sci professor. Big deal. Also had a huge Reaganite economics professor. Neither one had a lock on smarts. Again, you'll find them on EVERY campus (except maybe Bob Jones). It is not a strictly SF phenomena.
By your definition, anyone who doesn't fall along your point of view is America haters. That is your own prejudice, which I have neither the inclination nor the desire to argue with you.
Please, leave the over-generalizations for boards like Free Republic. If you're going to serve as the opposite side of the coin (a position I'd respect), you need to at least do it intelligently, otherwise you're just flamebaiting.

Right, your given name is Batman.
It's no different than anonymous. Get a clue.
I think Batman is a pansy ass white boy who is scared to death of the idea of a level playing field. Because on the inside, he thinks so little of himself, that without white privilege, and white male advantage, he's just real scared that he could never measure up or outdo anyone.
His behavior is so fear-based, and it's so obvious. Just about everything scares the hell out of him. The concept of true equality, and true freedom of expression and choices for everyone is just so threatening to him.
He has to control. He has to identify with the people in power. He has to be right. He has to be right. Cause he's just terrified of total failure otherwise.
He has nothing on the inside, to hold him up or make him strong. He's so dependent on the what's outside of him, so dependent on external validation, and that that validation makes him God like, and gives him the illusion of power, that he would crumble without it.
He's a sad, empty, dsyfunctional shell. A white male victim. One of the privileged who only has the material and illusion to live for. His life sucks, without the superficial and material, because no substance, and no connection to his own soul.

Go to CommonDreams.org. In the Headlines section, there is a truly amazing photo of BushBoy! Either he's praying really, really hard, wracking his pee-brain for the next lie to lay on the American People....or....he has a really, really, really BAD case of constipation! It's hysterical!

Watch Out for the Bushevik Hail Mary Pass: It's Got FEAR -- At a Whole New Level -- Written All Over It
November 13, 1005
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS
Wasn't there a novel in the '60s, "I've Been Down So Long, It Looks Like Up To Me"? Well, that's kind of where the Busheviks are at.
Which should make us all worried. They are not going to go quietly into the night. At some point they are going to move beyond their dumpster diving attempts at re-invoking post 9-11 fear and throw a Hail Mary pass.
What devastating distraction do they have planned for us, the citizens of America for whom they have such contempt?
We can only hope that the Dems will continue to press the case for democracy and accountability. They've started showing signs of life. Let's hope that they don't go back into hibernation.
Democracy hangs in the balance.

From Wikipedia:
In America, the term crypto-fascist has been revived by some critics to describe the neoconservative movement, especially in reference to various national security measures taken after the September 11th attacks. Many conservatives consider the term offensive, and some have even called it hate speech.
The true haters accusing their critics of being the haters, ala haters like Batman and Whiteman. Denial? Or reaction formation?
Reaction formation is a defense mechanism in which anxiety-producing or unacceptable emotions are replaced by their direct opposites.
Blaming one's opponents for the very behavior that one manifests, themselves. Whatever it is, it's sick. And so obviouis, in wingnuts.

Sure Batman let's try again.
When Bill Clinton was president we had a substantial surplus in the treasury and no unending, unethical war whose fundamental premise was built on lies.
In just six years we have pissed away the only post WW II surplus we ever had and instead ran up the greatest deficit in history. All by a party that proposes to promote "fiscal responsibility." In reality what they promote is their shameless form of American imperialism under the guise of of "democracy". Small wonder the rest of the world rejects this phony policy, once you get past the veneer you see that in reality, the whole thing is self centered and self serving, not a righteous cause.
If trading surplus for unending deficits is your form of fiscal responsibility Batman, then your form of irresponsibility is truly scary. And we don't need your backward focused history lesson about Bill Clinton. Get in the present pal, not the past.
In reality though, I wonder why it is even worthwhile to have discussions with judgmental, prejudiced people like you. Since judgment, hate, and prejudice are your M.O. and not spiritually based principles, and your obvious intent is to spray your toxic waste you mistake as enlightened discussion over this site, nothing good will come of it. It's like the old saying goes, never get into a pissing match with a skunk.
I have many conservative friends and fortunately, I can have respectful and engaging discussions with them even though we don't agree politically.
Fortunately enough, people like you represent a tiny minority of the population even though your outsized egos tell you otherwise. Thus you understand why few sensible people would take you seriously other than for the annoyance factor, which is considerable.
So Batman, if you take delight in poisoning our dialogue with your irrational hate, looks like the problem is yours even though irresponsible people like you continue to blame others rather than uncover their true problem, which is the poison of prejudice, hate, and judgment in your soul. If you feel like you don't get any respect here, frankly you don't deserve it. Feel free to earn it like the rest of us do pal, no matter what your flaccid ego tells you. Respect is earned, not deserved. And as you sow, so shall ye reap. Welcome to harvest time, Batman.
If none of the foregoing makes sense to you, get off our site and go elsewhere. If it does, I trust you will do the right thing.
Our political commentary in this country is in the gutter partly because of toxic people like you and others that are so prejudiced and stiff and unbending. So feel free to do your part to lift us up, as the saying goes, discretion is the better part of valor. If you don't have the good sense to do what's right, feel free to do nothing instead.
You make the call, Batman.

When bill clinton was presedent he screwed evrything up!
Student observes double standards at Winthrop
by Christine Byington
November 05, 2005
Black people at Winthrop will probably be angry. And I’m sure they will proclaim that Christine Byington doesn’t care about black people. If you care, however, you will read this thoughtfully.
To begin, I think it’s important to state a fact obvious to those who know me well. I don’t mean to implicate all blacks in this. I just have a problem with the belligerent ones who think we aren’t doing enough for them.
Hurricane Katrina brought back to the public attention the ongoing issue of race relations in America. The tragedy quickly shifted from concern for the people affected by the hurricane to the judgment that the federal government did not like black people. Obviously, the federal government has a vendetta against the blacks and chose not to respond to them quickly, right?
I guess we’re assuming that the many people of various ethnic backgrounds in the Bush administration don’t care about black people, either.
Today in the daily student announcements I saw the “Black Fact of the Week.” I did not have a problem with this in itself. Surely it is important for us to understand the contributions of black people in our lives. However, this is just one piece of an ever-complicating problem on campus.
In case you don’t know, there are quite a few groups on Facebook devoted to black people. Two in particular caught my attention: “Winthrop Does Not Like Black People” and “I Should’ve Went to a Blacker College.”
The first group describes itself as, “a group for people that agree that Winthrop is not a university for black people. Winthrop really doesn't try to do anything for blacks and black people has to work so hard to get things here.”
My main point with that description, being the amateur grammarian that I purport to be, is that the first step to “get things here” is to use proper English. To get what you want, you have to work hard. I don’t think this is a problem unique to black people. Everyone has to work hard in college.
I also wonder what they want. If anyone who is a member of that group would like to inform us what they want, then that would be super. My friends and I hypothesize that professors are equal opportunity dislikers. They don’t necessarily make things difficult for you because of your skin color or any other variable. They make things difficult because they can.
Seriously, though, what would you like Winthrop to do more of for you? I’m sure the administration would like to hear your options because they dedicate themselves to making Winthrop a positive learning environment. No, that was not a facetious comment.
The second group I mentioned begins its description with a simple question:
“Are u sick of not finding anyone good to do your hair without paying an arm and a leg? Do you ever see an HBCU's band and then hear the sorry Winthrop Pep Band and feel ashamed? Do you find yourself fleeing to other colleges just to enjoy a REAL homecoming (ex: football team)? Did you look around the first day of orientation and was like what the hell did I get myself into? Then you should have gone to a blacker college!”
I think this opinion I am about to write applies to everyone who complains for hours about Winthrop. If you hate the school so much, you have options. Namely, go ahead and go to another college. This Facebook group brings up the issue of having no football team at Winthrop. I don’t know about anyone else, but I knew Winthrop didn’t have a football team when I applied. Chances are you did too.
I have enjoyed many-a-comment in class about the plight of black people. Now, I understand taking pride in your heritage. However, it is just that-heritage. We no longer hose people in the streets. I’d say if you have the freedom to sit in a classroom and state those opinions, you’ve got it pretty well. I think the problem many people see with all the racially based arguments is that it seems those who argue the points are using past experience as present justification. They still think that the United States is a racist country and that the country isn’t doing enough for them.
I am a Republican and I definitely believe in the Republican-esque approach to achievement: Anyone can succeed in life if they try hard enough. Sure, there might have been many barriers to black success 40 years ago. However, it’s 2005. With the exception of a minority of businesses and perhaps universities, there are not many barriers to deal with anymore.
In fact, I think there has been a surge in specialized programs for people of various ethnic backgrounds. For example, I’ve been looking into summer research programs in psychology. I’ve noticed that most of the programs are limited to students of ill-represented groups (i.e., ethnic minorities). I am only half black and I don’t want to use that as my way to get into a program.
Ultimately, I think we need to achieve more equality. To be truly equitable, for example, we should offer programs that are specifically for whites. Yes, I just said that. I’m sure a lot of people just slammed the paper down and spouted a few expletives. But don’t you see the logic here? It can’t be a problem in one instance and not in another. Kids, that’s called a double standard.
This happens far too often, though. Some blacks are happy with the programs that benefit them. Once a similar program starts that is geared toward whites, all of a sudden the program becomes racist. Like a person I know once said, if an Association of Ivorites was established on campus, people would be up in arms.
We need only look at the case of a whites-only scholarship established at Roger Williams University last year. The group who sponsored the scholarship did so not out of racism but out of a desire to be fair.
Those who complain about the state of affairs tend to cite this desire for fairness. However, to be truly fair, we should offer such specialized opportunities for various groups in America. We should also offer White Facts of the Day and Hispanic Facts of the Day, among others.
I think it’s important to mention the groups on Facebook that are devoted to intelligent and articulate blacks. It’s somewhat disappointing when that is perceived as a surprise. I’m sure if you approached any of those people and asked them what people in their families or communities thought of them, you’d probably find a few who would tell you people didn’t like them.
Some in the black community frown upon black students succeeding in life. I think we have a problem when we need Facebook groups to highlight the articulate blacks on campus. While others are spending time complaining about the way things are, there are students at this school who are doing something about those problems.
A basic observation of people would show you that if you devote time to complaining about the way things are (Jesse Jackson), you don’t have as much time to devote to finding effective solutions.
To the angry black people who might be reading this column, understand that I do not mean ill will toward you. Basically, I’m the “safe” person to write this because I’m biracial. Know that there are many people on this campus who feel the same way I do but who do not want to air their opinions in the Johnsonian because, well, they are white.
I think it’s sad when some whites feel they must stifle their opinions because of the color of their skin. That must be what life was like for blacks in the 1950s.
The truth hurts and its time for whites to take a stand. Unlike the democrats who hate whites along with there wiggers.

Just because you are bi racial doesn't excuse you. While there is plenty of value in the idea of lifting oneself up and rejecting being a victim, the idea that just because it is 2005 means racism is history is extremely naive. It's still here, just more subtle. Do you think you would get a majority of African Americans to agree? Don't bet on it.
Your idea that we should define things along racial lines as a way of equalization is preposterous. You will be part of the problem you propose to cure, not the solution. Why would any right thinking person take this seriously unless their intention was to encourage racism?
As Dr. King said, what self centered people have torn down, other centered people can rebuild. It is time to stop focusing on the divisive issue of race and instead, focus on the common humanity which knows no race and ultimately unites us in common cause.

DR.KING Was a comuniste. FBI has all kids of classified shit on him that will be declassified in 2008.
And to this day blacks are useing racism as a cruch. To get things that other races have to work hard to get.
And people are tired of it. Why is it that if Michael Steel a black sentor was called Uncle Tom And black on the outside but white within by STEVE GILORD A democratic Racist towards whites. But not one word to defend michael from the NAACP or BLACK CILKUS LEADERS?????BECAUSE THE MAN ACTS TO WHITE....THESE so called civil rights groups are racists like the KKK there is no diference but race. And they use racism to take advantage of whites. And this is not going on anymore cause my message is getting through.
unrepentant liberal you are also a racist just like the group you are part of.
