Nice analysis. I think Alford saw that his days were numbered and he was never popular in IC since the Pierre Pierce deal. So his exit was well timed. They should hire Wayne Morgan, I don't think he's too busy at the moment.
Hamga would be a HUGE get. Him and Brackins down low... WOW! The kid has some development ahead of him but he is an athletic 7 foot center who can score. Saw him take on DeAndre Jordan and it was quite the matchup; Jordan was better (the refs let him get away w/ some stuff but he was still better)... If Staiger can help him come to Ames all the better since I'm not entirely sold on Staiger...

Nice writeup, and thanks for the link. Needless to say, this will probably be the topic of conversation in our little corner of the world for the next couple of weeks. And I wouldn't worry about a move on McDermott. I doubt if he's on the radar.
