Regarding Iowa State in the Big 12 Conference:

The Ag fans mentioned above really haven't said anything that isn't true. I'm sure that someone from College Station wouldn't like traveling to Ames, Lubbock.. (probably could add Columbia in there) - and they'd rather have Arkansas or LSU on the schedule.

Unfortunately, it's true what they say about Baylor. In pretty much every sport other than football (and mens basketball) they are very competitive.

Also, there's no denying that ISU fans have been tightwads and haven't helped our program grow at nearly the rate of any other program in our conference.

I don't think any changes will happen within the conference anytime soon, unless an Athletic Director somewhere thinks that their teams would 'fit' better in a smaller conference. I don't think any major conferences will have shakeups in the next few years.

Jamie Pollard has put a plan in place, but it's up to ISU fans to help implement the financial side of the plan, while the coaching staffs in place need to produce winners. Do this, and we'll assure ourselves 'safety' from being moved or forced into a different conference than we want to be in.
