Regarding Dom Imus. Had most any person in any workplace said what Mr. Imus said they would have been terminated without a second thought. I am sure NBC has rules their employees are expected to follow but the company does not seem to want to follow their own rules when it comes to an on air personality.
It is not a question of civil rights but one of morality!

Google: LOVING GOD'S HATE to read a scathing expose on FRED PHELPS and his family. The article was published by the Topeka Capitol-Journal, Phelps' hometown newspaper.
Some of the shocking revelations are: several of Phelps' estranged children make public claims of severe and frequent physical and emotional abuse by Phelps; the details of Phelps' disbarment by the Kansas Supreme Court and the Federal Courts for repeated ethical violations; the details of an electronic vendetta against public officials he disliked; the details of a successful lawsuit for unpaid product by an unpaid vendor. The money owed; over $5,000. The report states Phelps made his children sell the candy door-to-door until late into the evening and in bad weather.
Phelps has never sued the Capitol-Journal for libel, though several of his children are attorneys.
It is time the Christian Community do more than ignore him. Christian leaders everywhere should stand together and publicly repudiate him.
