And there's the key, right there. It's our blog and we'll do whatever we damn well please with it. Nobody is forced at the point of a gun to come here and they can exercise their right to go elsewhere.
Where is it written that bloggers must allow dissenting opinions and abuse? Care to point us to that particular rule?

This is our free speech zone, for us and our friends and allies. We don't always agree with one another but we sure as hell know we're all on the same side.
If you don't like that, then I'm sure there are millions of blogs out there which do things differently. Feel free to explore them.

Perhaps all the folks ranting and demanding that they have a say in how this blog should be run, what is said here and why and all that should start their own blogs and see how it works out for them. Nothing quite sobering as being on the receiving end.
My philosophy is even simpler, if i don't like what others write, then File --> Exit/Close.
