It's not a platform for leftist tripe.

Ditto that for me.. happy to chip in if someone knows how to get the money to him.

This is soooo wrong. The father, unlike so many parents now days, actually has the welfare of his child (yes, that is correct, a child) at heart. Why did the police fail to charge the 23 year old? 'Sexual grooming' of a minor comes to mind.

Ditto. I've got a $100 hidden in that cavernous belly called my purse, and you've got my email.
Hubby has a contact in Blenheim who may be able to get some info for you. Will let you know.

Gravatar Just a suggestion - contact Michael Hardy Jones surely HE knows his client's info, & could establish a "John Doe 1" file to collect any funds offered, and as long as you indicate on the cheque/money order/whatever that it is FOR "John Doe 1", I would think it would get where it's needed ..........................

Gravatar Just punched him? There are places in the US he would have gotten both barrels.

Gravatar What a great idea Keith! Let the father know that there are some in society who actually condone his actions. And what man calling himself a father wouldn't have done what he did?

In case some folks out there are bewildered as to why the cops did not act against the 23 year old, well here is the reason.

Used to be that police, whenever they found a 'child at risk' could remove that child from out of harms way. Now a 'child' has to lodge a complaint to authorities before police can act.

Its a win win all round for the pedophiles brought to you by leftist governments worldwide!

Gravatar ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GOOD on that father! I'd lock that child up in chains and home schoool from now on, the little TWIT.
and I'd have tried to put that guy out of the rape business forever!

Gravatar Note the wording of the headline. It's all relevant.

And "man wooing child"?

Wooing?? Is that what they're calling it now?

Gravatar Im more than happy to chip in. Just tell me how.

It really hits home just how helpless we are under the law to protect ourselves or our own from harm.

Gravatar I just sent an email to the man's lawyer, asking if he'd be prepared to pass on our offers of help.
Thanks to you all. Will keep you updated.

Gravatar I just spoke to the lawyer's assistant and she tells me he'll get in touch tomorrow.

Gravatar You just may be starting something big. Keep us informed please.

Gravatar Yes'm.

Gravatar I can't believe this, this is just nuts. Can we get some more info on this. I scanned the news items and they all look the same, is there something we're missing here?

Let me know if i can send something his way through paypal. Set up a fund of some sort, pay the fine and launch an appeal to clear his name. Screw those scumbags in the judiciary.

I understand that we shouldn't be running around punching people and beating the shit out of them, but since when did a 13 year old have the ability to make choices for her dumbass. What did the court expect, the father to sit around and wait for the cops and child services to figure out elbow from ass and get raped before they do something!

Gravatar People have already forgotten that the whole "Sensible Sentencing" thing began with a man named Mark Middleton, who spoke his mind when the Parole Board idiots hinted that the the depraved torture-murderer of (his step-daughter?) Karla Cardno might be released. Middleton was promptly charged with threatening, and sent to trial.

I attended that trial, and what I saw was an establishment desperately trying to cover its own arse by focusing on a man who actually KNEW a thing a two, and trying to shut him down. He nearly went to prison, which (if memory serves) didn't happen because he agreed to - shall we say - "keep the peace".

Fortunately, his point was made (at great risk to himself) and Karla Cardno's inhuman murderer remains behind bars - but it was a close call. I'm not a member of the S
Sensible Sentencing Trust (but I do support it), but I haven't forgotten Mark Middleton.

And now this "īncident". A reponsible, mature parent trying to protect his under-age daughter from the attentions of a far-too-much-older man, and from her own fecklessness - for which he's threatened with punishment. Some things haven't changed.

What if that daughter ended up murdered too? What's the bet that the father would get the blame, for having NOT protected her?

(ps- Wheres'the mother in all this? Has she said anything?)

Gravatar Wha?

I thought paedophilia was illegal, and the police could do nothing?

Gravatar I suspect it's a matter of available resources and policing priorities Lucia Maria.
Far, far easier to let matters run their course, offer the girl a 'free' abortion and prosecute the father for assault. Then people can blame the parents and the police can prosecute the perp after the damage is done. It's simply easier that way.
I recently asked a police officer why there are so many under-age girls pregnant and so few prosecutions for what used to be known as 'carnal knowledge'. He just laughed and said it'd be a full time job and the courts wouldn't hand down any meaningful penalties anyway.
No, the only barrier between young girls and those who would take advantage of them is their parents, and those parents protect them at their own risk.
That's the sad reality.

Gravatar Sounds like a good argument for building more prisons. Apparently judges get a list at the beginning of the day as to how many places are available in the prisons - that most likely heavily influences what they deem to be serious and what they think is trivial. If all these predators were locked up, it would eventually make a serious dent in the young girls going onto the dpb, surely?

Gravatar Yes indeed. The bleeding-heart lefties may rant and rail about the prison population but sometimes locking predators away is the only sane option. They're not going to reform of their own accord, after all.
I have no problem with more prisons provided they're tough and unpleasant for the inmates because I've yet to see convincing evidence that soft prisons and rehabilitation programs actually work.

Gravatar Remember the case of the adult getting a 13 year old pregnant? He had been having sex with her since she was 11, and the police decided NOT to prosecute.

This man in the story above had tried every reasonable method, and it was obvious he had to take matters into his own hands. That he is being punished for this is ridiculous.

Gravatar Just harking back to Sus's post on the MSM's use of the word "wooing". Wooing? Sus is right, and this point should have more made of it.

To begin with, the more appropriate word(s) are "stalking" and "corrupting a minor".

Gravatar Reading all that is happening in NZ, seems like it is not Godzone anymore. Where has Common Sense gone? It only takes a generation for what is RIGHT, what is JUST, what is TRUE, to be lost - and it is our children now who are reaping the consequences of a world gone awry. *sigh* Our poor children....

Gravatar I have paid the fine to the Court in Christchurch.

When a civilization is no longer capable of protecting the good guys from the bad guys it ceases to function.

When a similar predator approaches the daughter of Judge Behrens, will he meekly surrender her?
