It's not a platform for leftist tripe.

Truely inspiring.
I had been thinking of how the media have been obsessed with the demise of a drug-addled circus freak, while they ignore those who have fallen in defense of their country.
DM- those of us who have actually been out in the real world know very well that Americans are NOT what they are portrayed as on TV and movies!

I write this with tears in my eyes Keith...that soldiers folks must feel real proud to see the turnout for their boy..I know I would be!

Nemesis, I'm not ashamed to say it moved me to tears as well. Not so much the funeral of a soldier--those are to be expected.
But to see so many people take the time to pay their respects, to show they really do give a damn, means a hell of a lot. And they deserve our thanks for that.
We mustn't let the traitorous noise from the MSM drown out the decency and integrity of the vast majority of Americans.

God bless Sgt Beale.
The great tragedy is that his CIC would not shed a single tear and could not relate to the people lining the route.

Thank God for Sargeant First Cloass John C. Beale. May God comfort his family in their loss.
Thank you for posting this.
This is America. This is real. This is the proper way to honor a fallen American. This is how most Americans I know feel about our soldiers.
As the Aunt of two Marines (the sons of my oldest brother), the daughter and niece of Marines, Soldiers, and Sailors, as the grandaughter of soldiers, and so on back at least to the Spanish American War, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate each and every single person who stood on those roads for a man that most never met.

Kirly, thanks for the kind words--but no thanks are due to me.
Rather, the debt is mine, a debt to the fallen soldier and those fine people who honoured him.
I just wish it were possible for us to do more.

That's so cool Kirly!
It's high time the empty, negative voices who have nothing good to say about the military and Americans were countered. Let's keep it up and show the real face of a great people to those who believe the MSM propaganda.

I never lost faith in people of places like that. They know the price of freedom. Their sons and daughters are the backbone of freedom and liberty. Thanks for posting this KG, i'll put it over at AWH too.
Rest in peace warrior.
