I attended the rally for Ned Lamont with the wonderful John Edwards (next president)speaking in Lamont's behalf and adding his own compelling remarks, with the wonderful message that Americans want and need inspiration to do the right thing.
Lamont should be our next CT senator, replacing Lieberman who has been in power too long, has shown that he is a sore loser and long demonstrated that he's on the side of our president when it comes to the Iraq war. Lieberman has disappointed me on several issues--issues that have been strongly backed by the far right--vouchers, Terry Schiavo, and the president's faith based programs.

This is great video. Diane Farrel deserves to be elected to CD-4 Connecticut.
I've seen other video from this event with Lamont and Edwards, but the lead in speech by Ms. Farrell was refreshing. Thanks for including her intro, not just the "big" name draws.
Even though I now reside in Pennsylvania, as a youngster I lived in Wesport Connecticut - we also spent our honeymoon in CT. So there's many a fond remeberance of the state.
Good luck to the great candidates running for office from The Constitution State .

I think it's important to realize that when Edwards says "It's up to you" or quotes "The leaders we have been waiting for are us" that they aren't just catchy catch phrases. He really means it. Edwards is only one person, Lamont is only one person, and Farrell is only one person. We have to do more than attend rallies, listen to speeches and write our thoughts on blogs.
We have to make phone calls,
We have to canvass our own neighborhoods, then canvass the next neighborhood until we've been to every door,
We have to stuff envelopes,
We have to motivate our friends, family, and compatriots to vote come November,
We have to work the polling places,
We have to ensure the integrity of the vote - rid your county and your state of unconstitutional voting systems, and
We absolutely have have to restore balance to our country.
I'll be doing the same thing down here in PA for Lois Murphy (PA CD-06)
http://LoisMurphy.org/.
We've already had many successes down this way
- paper ballots were selected after many months of public hearings and letter writing campaigns. It was a close call, but we persevered and prevailed.
- after 120 some years, a Democratic State Senator was elected in an overwhelmingly Republican area (1.5 - 1)
Now we have the big game to win.
We Can Do This!
Peace!
