Windows Update asked me to approve an update to Service Pack 3 for the Windows XP operating system. I had heard horror stories in Kim Komando newsletters about SP 3 though the horror had tamed down lately. I remember there were horror stories when Service Pack 2 came out in the past. I "caved in" and allowed it to install SP 3. It took 40 minutes to install completely with one reboot at the end. I see no problems with SP 3 yet. The computer is operating similar to how it behaved before the update.
