I don't play gitaur. Too many broken fingers. However, when people want to "talk" gitaur you have to ask do they know who Racer X even is? If not, they probalby aren't the gitaur geeks they are trying to portray themselves to be.
You, my friend, are a gitaur geek.

I could never get into Racer X because of their singer. But what Paul Gilbert did with that band ... amazing.
There's a lot of video of Mr. Big out there. If you video.google Billy Sheehan you will find a really cool live stage duel between he and Paul Gilbert two of them.

The amps used by the ramones were single channel Marshall SuperLead or JCM800, Johnny Ramone never "switched" between channels, he used the switch send the signal to a "el cheapo" tuner.
