//She's selling the song too//
about Paris: I so so agree with that! She actually was INTERPRETING it ... not just passively singing it. She made it into a happy memory - she was actually acting it... I was very impressed!! I can't believe how young she is and how she interpreted that song the way she did.
Elliot is just ease personified - whatever happens happens - he may not make it all the way, but i would love to see him still have a career.
Taylor seemed kind of ... shy, maybe? Like- not really in his own skin - which was a strange sight, since he always seems really okay with just being himself.
Oh - and yeah, I watched it even though I said I wouldn't - I just have company. I decided not to live-blog, etc.

Hey Cullen. I'm back. Finally got back online this weekend. Man moving is a lot of work.
As for your post. I really can't add to what you said. I agree with just about everything you said and disagreed with the judges all through the show. I'm not a Kat fan, but I really felt this was a strong night for her.
Me and the wife are split on Paula. I say she's on drugs. The wife says that she has misplaced her drugs and needs them desperately. Really I suspect that she's knocking back a fifth of Jack during commercials. I mean, I've been drunk and on drugs before, sometimes at the same time. Weepiness and incoherency are dead giveaways.

Crotalus, I am so glad you're back up. I was starting to worry! Really. Yes, moving sucks, but thankfully you've got it done for a while.

I loved when they made Chris lie on the floor. I've taken a voice class and been made to lie on the floor - and you feel ridiculous but you sing so much better! I liked his openness to the new experience, even though he was embarrassed.

The whole, "Yeah, can I get up now?" was great. That's probably my only problem with Chris is that he's very much a one-trick pony. You can feel how unfomfortable he is stepping out of that mold.
But he's willing to try, and does a decent job. So, that's very cool.

Two nit-picky notes:
1) They always go to two phone#s per contestant toward the end, and
2) They'll probably only do a bottom 2 from here on out until the final show.

I might also mention: it's public knowledge that Paula's got a severe neurological condition that's common to dancers basically involving pinched nerves. She's in constant pain and is medicated for it--public knowledge on that. So sometimes she's worth cutting a little slack on that (which makes some of my own comments about her maybe a little more snarky than they should be).

I am aware of Paula's condition. But if you can't do the job ... I mean, I may be snarky, but I don't think I'm being overly so.

Our radio station plays each performance on the radio on Wednesday morning, and over Chris's songs they always play the Chewbacca voice.
It's hilarious -- and apt.

I wasn't exactly on the same page with you this week either, Cullen. bUt as always, I appreciate your comments. You force me to look at things in a different way.
Bottom two for me...Paris & Kellie (if it's bottom three, I'd add Katherine), with Paris going home.
