Very wisely stated. Especially the bit about keeping linebackers and safeties honest. Having Portis in the game make this team more difficult to defend just by his mere presence. It doesn't hurt that he happens to be kind of sort well ok ya really good at running the ball.
Loving it.

Just dropped a comment on your blog, SP. The Redskins suddenly have a more favorable schedule. Remaining road games:
Giants - possibly imploding
Colts - tough in the way we don't know
Eagles - tough in the way we know
Bucs - falling apart, sobbing mess
Saints - my vote: overrated
Rams - a weak 3-1 at this point
Going 4-2 on the road would make the team 6-4.
Home games:
Titans - turkeys
Cowboys - a must-win
Panthers - dangerous
Falcons - never win at RFK, er, FedEx
Eagles - a must-win
Giants - a must-win
Going 4-2 at home would make the team 10-6, that's enough to win the division.
Send your happy thoughts to Favre. The Eagles most likely will stomp them Albert Haynesworth-style, but if Green Bay pulled out a win, it would be huge.
Keep it going this week, Coach!
