Gravatar That's good Redskins blogging.

Gravatar Thanks!

Gotta support the team.

Gravatar Then for the record, you think letting Trent "please let me play in a playoff game" Green go was a worse decision than letting Brad "all I do is win games" Johnson go? Of course when you can have Jeff George, what the hell!

Gravatar Wilbert, Wilbert, Wilbert. I wrote that letting Trent go after the 1998 season was one of the dumbest things the Redskins did in the pre-Snyder period. The Danny bought the team in April 1999, Brad Johnson was one of the free agents brought in either right before or right after Snyder closed the sale and then let go by Snyder after the 2000 season, so the whole Trent thing happened before Snyder was the oppressor.

For the record, was it a worse decision to let Brad go or let Trent go? Tough call. They both are durable and have similar career ratings. Brad has started in 7 postseason games with a 4-3 record and a Super Bowl win. His career passer rating is 83.6, and it's held pretty steady.

Trent has started one preseason game, going 0-1, though he contributed 5 starts to the Rams in 2000, who went to the playoffs (and lost). His career rating is 88.1.

Either would give the Redskins a better chance at winning right now.
