Thanks for the excellent analysis. Until I read your blog, I was in Gregg's corner, wondering why Danny was leaving him twisting in the wind. Now I'm hoping it's because he's giving Russ Grimm a long hard look.
There is no reason to believe Russ is in the running, sadly.
Also there are two schools of thought on four interviews for Williams.
The first is that Dan Snyder does not want Gregg and is looking for reasons not to hire him. That's why you put a guy, a known quantity you have associated with for four years, through four separate interviews.
The second is that Dan is looking at Gregg as a real candidate. The first interview could be do yo want it, the second would be how would you do things, the third could be what would your staff look like and the fourth could be money.
I tend to think the former and Gregg will only be the coach if Dan does not pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Good analysis of the situation and negatives concerning Gregg Williams. I agree that Vinny Cerrato is probably part of the problem, and I think the idea of hiring Russ Grimm a good one. But someone has to put that idea into Danny Boy's head. It certainly appears that Snyder is lusting after one of the Patriot's or, maybe, Giants assistants....for better or for worse. We'll see.

No I don't email this to the team, Curly R is featured prominently in Google returns so if Dan is out there googling himself and the team then he will find us.
I am pretty sure he is aware if not a reader, I got an email from the Redskins general counsel this past offseason over a piece I wrote.
I am hard on Dan, there is only one thing I care about: a better football team.
