Panic Button -> O

Let me get this straight.
No Moss, no Randle El, and no Portis. Not surprisingly, the offense struggles without 3 main cogs.
JC's first pass is a tip-drill INT because he threw it to some rookie with alligator-arms when, in a game that mattered, he probably would have thrown it to someone more competent.
And we're supposed to panic? Really?
Let's see what happens when we have all of our starters in the game, shall we?

Not to be a wet blanket and ignore Wilbert, he's an Eagles fan so he's always going to stoke the fire, they just looked bad last night.
Santana was in the game, started, caught no passes and as far as I can tell he was in the game for at least the first quarter.
Yes no Clinton Portis, Marcus Mason carried the ball 98 yards on the ground, he played Clinton well so that substitution is a wash.
Jason Campbell's first three drives: INT, 3 and out, 3 and out. On those two drives Marcus Mason carried three times for 12 yards and Jason had one completion, his only one of the night, for three lousy yards, including a wasted challenge by Jom Zprn.
Overall the defense was ok, there was some bad plays and bad tackling but it was not a complete defensive embarrassment the way the Panthers game was.
Be afraid for the Redskins next week, getting their ass handed to them on national TV, the third time in six weeks, could set this team back for the first half of the season and make the second half an exercise in mootness.

Oh. I didn't see Moss, so I thought he was sitting.
In any case, I agree that JC looked...off, but if Cooley hadn't dropped a sure first down, it might have been different.
Anyway, I understand everyone's concern. I choose to be a stubborn, deluded ass about the whole thing and reserve judgment until next week's game.
After which, I will retire for the evening and carry on much like Martin Sheen did in the opening scene of Apocalypse Now, replete with war paint, Jack Daniels, boxer briefs, and a vast reservoir of tears...manly tears, that is. From manly grief.
