Gravatar "...it's a world of hopes and a world of fears, there's so much that we share that it's time we're aware, it's a small world after all!" Well I always loved Pirates of the Carribean! We could never go into the Haunted House (because mom and dad didn't like the idea of ghosts), and we couldn't go in very many of the dark rides because Michael was scared. I also loved the train one, I can't remember what it was called but it's like a miniature roller coaster. One time I was there with my g'ma and we were watching a parade and when she wasn't looking I decide to join the parade and chase after Tigger. What about the teacups??? Okay now I want to go to!

Gravatar I've never been to Disneyworld! Am I officially UnAmerican now!? I'm sorry that I can't comment on fun rides. But, I really adore Minnie Mouse. I like you guys too. Much Love.

Gravatar Dearhearts Katie and Mike--Disneyland is fun--but hot, long lines, LOTS of money, yet still fun. I do not think I have ridden the Indiana Jones ride--but Space Mountain is one of my all time favorites. Remember when we rode it 4-5 times in one day??? I think you are headed to a real-life ride in Prague--there will be many thrills and chills to look forward to! Love and hugs, ma deb.

Gravatar Don't listen to Ma Deb's negativity on the heat and long lines...she must be getting crabby from the heat here! Disney has upgraded...there's something called "Fast Pass" that eliminates long lines. In effect, you get reservations for rides at later times. Anyway, Katie, I thought you only rode rides that grandparents rode with their grandchildren. Hmmm.

Gravatar Dear Kids--don't listen to Brent's utopian ideas that the fast pass actually eliminates the waiting--you just wait in a different way. Isn't Indiana Jones at Universal and not Disneyland anyway?? Hugs, ma deb.

Gravatar My favorite ride is the one where you go really fast in a straight line, stop really fast, dodge large objects and take corners really fast....oh wait, that was my morning commute. Never mind.

Gravatar I love an opportunity to go to DLand too.
Paul F. and I have laughed for years about Pirates of the Caribbean--partly because it's so lame; but also because in spite of the fact that Paul and I have heard it 100 times, neither one of us can understand one word of that song, except, "Yo, ho, ho, ho, a Pirate's life for me." After that, it's "dum, dum dum, dum dum..."
You won't believe this: Yesterday, Paul e-mails me and has the words to the song. As we suspected, it's all about "we shoot, we burn, we destroy, we blow up stuff, aren't we happy fellas?"
Love,
Tim/Dad

Gravatar Isn't is good to know that our pastor and elder spend time on such a quality of life question????? to the point of actually researching it?????Love, ma deb.

Gravatar Ma Deb: I was thinking the same exact thing! It's good to have balance, though. K&M: love you guys! I'm glad have this 'network' too. It's so awesome to be a part of people's daily lives that otherwise I usually just see for a couple hours at Christmas or other visiting times. Thank you

Gravatar alright, alright. mom, for one...you have rode the indiana jones ride. remember the last time we were at disneyland? it took about 2 hours to get through the line. it was the end of the day. ask dad, i swear it was disneyland! and i swear you rode it! for all others....thank you for your contributions. brent, maybe the line thing will work! kristi, crazy and loveable as usual. steph- someday babe we will go. and dad, source of all wisdom, even the pirate song!

by the way, go see pirates of the caribbean, excellent flick!!!! it's great.

by kendra, thanks for the encouragement.
lovekatie

Gravatar I love the pictures.....and If I could go to Disneyland I would not care how long the wait was, I would go on the "Small world" ride. It is fitting for y'all too since because of e-mail and stuff, while you are miles from home and all of us, it will seem like a small world. I remember the first time Katie saw Disneyland.....she was 3-4 years old and sitting on someones shoulders and as the Big Parade was going by in front of us, she loudly said, "OOOK Nana, Eddebuddy came to see me" and I just smiled and said, yes honey everyone at Disneyland made a parade just for you. I hope they do it again, Katie.....Love you both, Nana
