Yeah, i was in France during the last election and missed all of the hubbub preceding it. My absentee vote went to Harry Brown that year.

i just remember leaving the country with a president under scrutiny for intern-relations (the French loved him), and coming back to a president that couldn't find words to express himself (the French didn't care for him at all).

A few weeks later the towers crumbled to the ground and the US declared war on the world.

my first time to vote was in the 2000 election, and then i left the country. the spanish consistently asked "what do you think of Bush?" and "what do you think about the death penalty?"
