Something you might want to note: ask around in the TS community if your company has a track record for handling transitions in the workplace, many of the larger companies do.
Mine does, and it's not good. I've accepted that there is no way for me to transition and keep my job, so I expect that when I do go full time I will no longer be working there of my own accord (as I hear they are willing, but extremely reluctant to work with any TS person, and quite biased against TS).
So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that I may have been outed today at work. ^_^
