It makes me want to cry. My mom isn't one of those grandmas, she'd prefer to wave to her total of five grandkids from across the room. She has never offered to babysit for me even when she knows I need it. Yo go Grandma, the world needs more like you!
Don't feel bad, Colleen; I had one of those grandmas too. My mom was wonderful, but died when my daughter was only 7 months old and didn't have a chance to spoil my children. They never did have a grandma to spoil them, and I hope I can make it up to mine! Hopefully, you will be lucky like me and you'll be close to your children. Then you will just feel sorry for her and the opportunities she missed to have her grandchildren light up when they see her and cry when she leaves....
