I do this too. I go shopping conclude that I am mere millimeters away from turning into JabbaDaHut -- so I go and have something to eat. Mind you, you do it in much more style than I ever do. Better take out.
(I don't think sorbet is that hard to make.)

Nat As for the type of takeout available, I guess that it doesn't hurt that I am very close to the Gourmet Ghetto. And of course, this was a great deal of the appeal when I first moved into my apartment -- having all these great choices within walking distance. I also justify some of my food choices by reminding myself that they usually are not a single serving for me.
I figure that making sorbet is probably no worse than making ice cream -- something I used to do. I just no longer have an ice cream maker.

Ooh you went for the steak. I was thinking it was too hot for steak, but that looks delicious.
Hope the bread pudding was yummy.
I was craving gelato or sorbet last night but didn't feel like leaving the house and the only ones I had in my freezer were at least 2 years old and not edible. I will have to remedy that situation.

Fluffy Cat I rarely order steaks when dining out but this one was great. Just the right amount of fat. Unfortunately I did not have room for the bread pudding last night. I'll try it sometime today.
The good thing about the gelato/sorbet issue for me is that at least one of the places nearby is open until 11 pm, midnight on weekends.

Dajanae Are you still sick? Cause if I lived near you, I would so hook you up with some food other than soup or tea.
