the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story better than i would have expected... i had heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case

Fair enough. And they did keep to some themes well despite the change in plot, i.e. "You'll get into trouble if you don't wait for Aslan." But it still bugs me how they changed some of the characters, and didn't really pick up on a lot of the Christian theology that's in the book. Of course, there is a lot more good theology in the movie than most fantasy flicks, but still.
