Comments at the Hjelle Jar

Wow, your trailer looks so homey. I like the camoflauged (spelling?) car and the garden looks fantastic! What happened to your red car? Mine was having some trouble this summer too. The mechanic and I are becoming fairly good friends, except I think it annoys him a little bit that I'm so clueless about engines. "Yes, that sensor is tied into the coolant system so it could be the one that is making your low coolant light go on." "Yes, your heater core may be going out soon so stick your hand in this hard-to-reach place and make sure it does not come out sticky with antifreeze." But what if there's a spider in there? No, I did not ask that.

Ruth,

I sit here rather amazed —I didn't know our car could spell. I've never had a camouflaged spelling car before. I wonder what it can spell? With my luck, it is probably all in Swedish anyway.

Our Escort had a plethora of issues. The frame was rusting, the suspension was going, the brakes died. The mechanic said it would cost $1500 to fix it all …so it seemed like our best bet to get a new car.

Incidentally, how's teaching going? Started classes yet?

David

I laughed out loud. Hjelle humor got me again. :-D

Yes, we started school, and the first three and a half days went wonderfully. I'm so thankful to be a second year teacher instead of a first, because things really are a lot easier! And I have fantastic students - 12 this year, so far.

Hope your camoflaged car runs well and is quite rust-proof.
