Eddie Murphy had a recurring character of "Buckwheat" the "Little Rascals" child star as a grown man. When they got tired of doing it, the writers had "Buckwheat" assassinated.

Well, I really don't think of "Canton" and "excitement" together, I would have thought there'd have been something a bit tamer and closer to home he could have tried.

Maybe he just got tired of rooting for the Lions and Tigers and wanted something with better odds.
