Gravatar Dale,

Take a few deep breaths and start repeating the Kathy Shaidle mantra:

"One of these days, all the boomers will be dead. One of these days, all the boomers..."

There, isn't that better?

Gravatar Fr. Radcliffe gave another soft pedal job in a talk at Grace Episcopal cathedral in San Francisco. He either wouldn't or couldn't profess the Catholic Church's doctrine on homosexuality, womens ordination, or the discipline of celibacy for latin rite priests. A Google search will locate an audio of this talk. I was very dissappointed with his answers given to questions posed by his hosts. He sounded more concerned with being sympathetic with the Episcopalian view than with Catholic truth.

Gravatar The problem, Bubbles, is that the Boomers raised children, and not all of them are turning out like me -- you can decide whether or not that's a blessing or a curse but I mean that many of them are turning out worse than me, and that's pretty darn bad, believe me.

Gravatar Dale, please do yourself a favor: Never compare yourself to Gerald Serafin. You differ from him in three crucial ways:

1. You have a brain

2. You use your brain

3. You are not a pussy

P.S.: Kudos to Carlos Guillen....

Gravatar Homilies like this one are what a huge part of what is wrong in the Church today, in addition to all the defense of such priests. Their job, among other things, is to speak the truth. What he spoke, intentionally or not, was a distortion of the truth. As such he is failing in his job on this crucial point. You called it right. Love without truth is a deformity.
