The greater tragedy is that this "gifted" ingrate has influenced an entire generation of clerics [ain't that so, Bishop Hubbard?], whose hands remain very much on the wheel. That fact alone makes me think that he should have been silenced [and no, chesty men, I don't mean with a glock] long ago. He would make as fine an ex-bishop as Carter has made an ex-president.

Might be worth passing onto our 46-year-old auxiliary bishop, clearing on the fast track. As in Kid Don't Try This At Home.

"Got to avoid the big He, don't you know? But give him credit--he has his gifts."
Who has gifts, Gumbleton or God? Pronoun confusion...
"And he also lives as advertised: very humbly on the grounds of St. Leo's. No fat and lace-bedecked prince, he."
I have always prefered my bishops roly poly and laced up to the eyeballs.

Hilary:
Good catch on the pronoun. I'll fix it later.
Re: prelates--Now that I think about it, I don't really have a problem with the fat, but lacy--nope. Call it a hangover from my Methodist upbringing.

From "fat" to "pampered."
But the lace stays.
