Wotta weekend of NCAA hoops, with the Spartans providing final thrills. Can't say that I think they'll overcome NC- had a little help from a clumsy non-travelling call on my Villanova Wildcats Friday night. But temporarily silences the ACC acolytes-two reps from your Big Ten, only one from theirs. Enjoy your dish on ice.
DP- wanted to respond to your posting on Amy's site about the arrival of Thee REV-rund JACK-suhn to the Pinellas Park Circus And/Or Death Camp. To use an analogy you'd appreciate. A month ago, the 76ers acquired Chris Webber in a blockbuster trade with the Sacramento Kings. You know as much about his past transgressions as me- choking in the NCAA Championship Game at Michigan. Taking money from Ed Martin there, then perjuring himself about it in Federal Court. The battles with Don Nelson at Golden State. The arrests in metro D.C. The bad knees. And I welcomed him with open arms- Allen Iverson finally has a complementary superstar. Same with Jesse joining the Schindlers' camp. Would rather have him on our team than with The Culture of Death Demons.
