Gravatar Harumph ... I got "WASP/Convert," when if memory serves, it is our Blogmeister who is the convert and I am the one with the embarrassing pictures of me in a Christening dress at 2 months.

Gravatar I got the May procession. Priests in robes. Girls who just made their First Communions. Banners. Large bloody crucifix. Cultural to the max. You bold brazen articles.

Gravatar Victor:

Yep--received into the Church, Easter Vigil '99, but still "more Catholic than the Pope."

Dad wasn't a longshoreman or Teamster, but he (and my grandpa--mom's dad) were linemen for GTE for quite a while.

Gravatar Very weird quiz. On a few of the questions none of the answers applied to me, even remotely.

Gravatar Greg:

I think it is the "cultural" adjective that has you flummoxed. Tom clarifies in this post, with a couple of funny anecdotes:

Gravatar I'll say a Novena for you, Greg.

Gravatar I got the May procession too. I'm cradle too, but grew up with "Madame DRE" and took a leave of absence from the church for a little while (well, OK, 20 years). Back for 8 months and now lo, behold, I am turning into a female George Weigel (only cuter and a bit younger - also far less well known and unpublished). Excuse me, I must now go get my second Rosary and a huge bloody Crucifix and Richard McBrien better not cross my path!

Gravatar I got Wasp too and I don't even know what the heck that is or how on earth I got that answer,... oh I guess coming from Canada probably put me down as well as answering I would celebrate a Holy Communion/Baptism by a quiet dinner with family,... which isn't even true, but it was the closest thing, it would NOT be a wine and chese, nor catered, and the road would NOT be blocked, instead it would be a recpetion of family and close friends at home with cake, and whatnot, prepared by ME. And on some of the other questions I had no idea who or what he was talking about,... difficult to make a choice there...

Gravatar Well, I'm a "bitter middle-aged woman" according to D.T.'s test -- which would be accurate except for the "woman" part.
