Not that much later.

I kid, of course. Madeleine is a sweet and beautiful little girl who has me utterly charmed.
I've been eagerly awaiting your deconstruction of splinter Anglican guitar Masses, though.
By the way, we actually celebrated ad orientem this week. Not a liturgical or theological statement, just the practical necessity of being moved into a smaller room.
peace,

Not surprising in the least that most of Michigan leaning toward Stillers. As in old-skool team from industrial area and so on and so forth. Somewhat divided as Pennsylvanian. Can appreciate continuous ownership by Rooney clan- outstanding Catholics, management that does not panic at a three-game losing streak. But still Iggles fan to core. PA divided in half by its football loyalties. But Seahawks deserve some notoriety after quarter-century of slogging along. Happy that Mike Holmgren- one of Apostles of West Coast offense- sheds it to highlight all-world running back Shaun Alexander. Leaning toward NFC loyalties to root for Hawks- owner Paul Allen one of fathers of New Economy as co-founder of Microsoft. But heard bad trend- Hawks players had videocams at the ready when leaving Allen's private jet. Appearance like they're Just Happy To Be There. Sadly, like my Iggles last year. Stillers by 10.

Dale,
I utterly sympathize with the need-a-bigger-house situation. We were bursting at the seams for a long time before we finally found THE house we could raise a large family in.
My point-man for the whole ordeal was St. Josemaria, and he came through beautifully. There is a prayer card here if you'd like to see it...

Good luck selling! We sold our last house on our second try, after 10 grand in foundation work. Ugh. But, we're now in a larger house on land that is nowhere near a Meth lab, like our last one was. Just make sure you aren't too emotionally attached. People are just trying to afford the house when they don't offer a million bucks. After buying this house, the previous owner decided to come and visit us and tell us all about the "history" of the house and how wonderful a house it is... when we already knew it needed at least 20k in work.
Funny, I'm almost 30, and unless I'm mad at him, my daddy is always "Daddy."
Best of Luck, and GO STEELERS!

OK bud, yak away while you can. The Pistons have been the best team through the end of January. Clearly.
But the Spurs have never been an early-season team (our first title, we started out 8-6). At this point last year, Phoenix was as clearly the NBA's best team as Detroit is this year. We won't play you until the final, and we're the one team you can't intimidate, even if you win 70 games in the Leastern Conference.
There's still a lot of playing, a lot of potential injuries, a lot of cold streaks. Plus, three words bud -- Rasheed. Meltdown. Factor.

Not to worry. Take a little time off. And look at it this way. Hopefully, you'll have Mad Mike come in and run the Lions offense next fall. He came here in '99 and turned a bad offense into the best in the league, made a back-up quarterback into the best QB this town's ever seen and won a Super Bowl, something that those of us who grew up on the football Cardinals still can't get our minds around.

Don't worry. Some day a boy will make her cry and you'll be "daddy" again.

My mom was born and bred southern, but my dad was born and bred Minnesotan, and hates the south with a passion. No wonder their marriage only lasted 16 years and 5 kids, huh? I'm midwestern through and through. I lived in the south and other than the weather, it wasn't my cup of tea.
I think it's just being a daddy's girl. My friends used to tease me about it in college, but I don't even realize I do it most of the time.

Some two years ago, after the purchase & arrival of Daughter #1 but before the arrival (but after the purchase) of Daughter #2, the Mater Familias made noises that our 2200 sq. ft. house was "just too small." She made the mistake of making these noises just before one of her bi-annual trips to Houston for her post-cancer check-up.
I indicated to the Great She that if she thought our house was too effing small, then rest assured that 90% of our belongings (that is, "her crap") would be gone by her return, thereby freeing up much needed room.
Two years later, here we are; snug and happy. So long as you're willing to carry them out, threats do work.
