It's been so long we don't know what to say or how to act.
In October, you overturn a bunch of cars, set some businesses on fire, and, if you're lucky ... kill a few people.

I'd be more concerned that Wade was able to make it to the rim with such relative ease, which was something he couldn't do much of last season or during the four regular season games.
Leyland is one of the best managers we've seen in recent history.

First the Clippers. Now the Tigers.
Is nothing sacred?
Anyway, Dale, hope your Striped Felines can clock the Pernicious Persnickety Pierzynski-ites a la Michael Barrett (a fine American and one of God's chosen).
But methinks you worry too much about yon Cylindrical Engine Parts. They stopped Shaq And Sidekick two years ago; why can't they do it again (albeit with a different sidekick)?
Oh well, as long as 'Sheed doesn't predict anything....

Yeah, keep Sheed away from the crystal ball. And hope his ankle holds up. On a selfish note, I wish these games would move off ESPN ... I can't get ESPN on my TV at dialysis because it's one of the hospital channels! Someone should complain. I have to wait until I can tune in the radio on my way home. This Pistons fan is going through withdrawal.

Simple minds cannot comprehend the the sheer intellectual depth that it takes to talk about America's Team, The Dallas Cowboys, so I guess I can understand the lesser cretins of the world prattling about Pistons and Tigers. Blecchhh!!! By the way, Drunken Scot? That's a cool name!

So, Doogie (may I call you "Doogie"):
Planning on wearing you T.O. Cowboys jersey to the game between the Eagles and the 49'ers? It's Week 3 in San-Fran. Mark your calendar.

And now a question for Sir Drunken Scot:
Would any of the fans at a Celtic-Rangers match pass a sobriety test on the highway?
For that matter, would any of the coaches?

I don't understand your question. There are no "highways" in Britain ...

Complete reversal of fortunes.
Tayshaun Prince is the current Bill Laimbeer--he cries about everything. You'd think someone who grew up in Compton would be a bit tougher.
This one's going seven.

Lee Anne--I hope you caught part of it--thought the last minute and a half was...distressing.

Terry:
I'm not big on blaming the officiating, especially in a win.
But that last 1:37 was a marvel.
And Tayshaun had a legit gripe about the time out. Not to mention I was fairly sure that Wade was so desperate for a Billups jersey that he was trying to rip Chauncey's off on that drive to the hoop that ended up as a turnover.
However, I will agree as to two things: (1) the Pistons gripe too much about the officiating, and (2) it's going seven, barring a crucial injury to one or the other.

Dale,
Overall, the officiating has been horrific. And I'm not going to be too hard on him; he played a huge role in taking out the hated Lakers a couple of years ago. Furthermore, I'd still put him behind Tim Duncan (I'm a Spurs fan) and Mike D'Antoni. And it's not like Gary Payton never whines.

Dale,
I caught the second half of Thursday's game when I got home. Yes the last minute or so was a nailbiter. Was this team going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Squander an 18-point lead? What the ....? Where has Chauncey been lately? Except for his sure-fire free throws, his shooting is non-existent.
I don't know about the whining. I do think Tay has a legitimate beef about the missed time-out call and the 5-second inbound penalty. But as they say, this is playoff basketball, so we all have to be grown-ups.

Doggone right Pistons-Heat goes seven. Same with the dragstrip series to the west. Want to see where basketball is headed? Suns-Mavs is the future. Pistons-Heat is the past. Athletic young players like Joakim Noah- with the good sense to stay one more year at Florida- will make it happen. With one disclaimer- look out for LeBron. Scary thought thruout the Association.

Noah plays defense; something lost in the Mavs-Suns series.
Pistons take a close one tonight.

See ya in October, bro. And you don't have McClain this time. 'Course we don't have Gibson either. We've got Carpenter though but he's dinged right now so things could go either way. Push comes to shove, you and I can go out drinking somewhere and you can make it to Mass at the most beautiful church in North America, the Cathedral Basilica.

BTW, it was Mickey Lolich who was the Card killer in '68. Denny had a pretty mediocre Series.
