Dale, before I actually clicked through your lyric links to the Barney Masses, I started trying to hum out something to match. Monty Python's "Eric the 'alf a Bee" song fits perfectly...

And yeah, Fr. McBrien has been living in his own echo-chamber for quite a while. I got in an email exchange with him once, over a error he'd made wrt St. Josemaria's beatification process. He insisted he was right when I called him on it. I dug through the Vatican website, dug up the relevant Motu Propio from the late 1960's, and sent it to him. No response. (No surprise.)
