I agree about the rushed part but it's nice to watch a show where something actually happens.
Btw, Baltar is most assuredly a frakkin toaster. (I speak confidently when I'm unsure)

Any theories out there that Kendra Shaw is/was the final cylon? They're replaying the Razor movie again, like they're trying to draw attention to something.

Well...if the child of the six in the brig survives to term, we know who the final cylon is.

Also, the melted cross and broken dome were very evocative of Nagasaki. I thought that was well done.

Agreed on the overall effect--very powerful. I only caught the cross on the second viewing, but it's pretty obvious. A nod to 9/11, too, I thought.
Another point--someone familiar with NYC said the landing party would be walking near the HQ for the Jehovah's Witnesses, a/k/a the Watchtower. Hmmmm....
One question about your (very interesting) theory as to No. 5: aren't the 5 supposed to have been to Earth--somehow?

Kendra Shaw would certainly be someone hungry for redemption:
"And the fifth, though still in the shadow yet clawing for the light, hungry for redemption, that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering..."
But...while Razor was great, I dunno about her being an impactful "reveal."

Hmmm, I don't really regard the "been to Earth" claim as credible. Who said it?
*Possible Spoiler*
It may be that the six's baby, if it survives, will be the 13th cylon..the next generation of humans.
I think all the "humans" from the 12 colonies are actually descendants of the previous incarnation of humanoid cylons who originally left Kobol. Once they learned love* and were able to reproduce without technology, they lost their dependent bond with technology and also learned guilt (which we see now developing in the sixes no less). This guilt allowed them to turn on their brothers and make common cause with the "gods" to end the war.
The "gods" of Kobol were really the previous incarnation of humanity who barely survived the war started by their creations. The "gods" banished their creations (really sent them in search of a new home so someone could survive) and stayed behind to die. Some, like Athena, killed themselves in despair over losing the cylon they loved.
*The arrow of Athena, (goddess of love), unlocks the map to the future.
Then again, maybe Dualla will wake up, walk into the bathroom and see Billy in the shower and realize it was all just a dream.

Were that to happen, I would personally end Ron Moore. Not (just) kill. END.

You got season 3 for Father's Day? My daughter surprised me on Sunday morning with a homemade card and a giftwrapped box containing season 1 (+ mini)!
I've been recording them at work (antennas only out here in the sticks), editing out the breaks, putting them on DVDs, and watching them at home. Thanks to the last two marathons I was only missing most of season 1.
For Revelations, I haven't read the reactions or websites but my initial impression is that maybe that wasn't actually Earth. We weren't shown any real recognizable landmarks. We still have to deal with Starbuck's supposed death and reappearance of both her and the destroyed viper (in showroom condition, no less). Ship of Lights? Almost reeks of a deus ex machina... and after suffering through the mother of all deus ex machina's with a certain writer's Dark Tower books, I hope that doesn't happen. With Ron Moore's constant criticism of Star Trek (see: anomaly, temporal) I'm trusting him not to go there.
With 10 more shows to go, a lot can happen.

Mike:
Happy Father's Day, not so BTW! There's a scene in the miniseries that got me hooked on this show, so I'll hold off if you haven't seen it. It's done almost entirely without dialogue, but is absolutely perfect.
Yeah, that's a good point about hiding the planet--the flashback at the end of Season 3 clearly showed our earth, North America prominently. I just don't know that they have enough time to pull another Earth out of their hats.

Newhart was the only show that could end that way. I'm with Matt--if Moore & Eick try that, you won't be able to identify them with dental records.
