SO where was the ADL when "Dogma" debuted? Right there standing beside the USCCB, I'm sure, pooling together a bunch of Jewish scholars to help out their Catholic brothers, right? I distinctly remember them saying - nothing.

Let's not even broach the subject of The Last Temptation of Christ, where Mary Magdalene was portrayed as a whore and Jesus was "confused" about his sexuality. Nope, don't believe the ADL was standing behind us on that one.

Although I see c matt's point and second it, I can almost understand not going after Dogma. Compared to the earlier Smith films, it was rather overhyped and really didn't deliver - and it pretty much tanked at the box office. Why give it the free publicity?
