The idea in itself has moderate coolness potential, but "Brother Ben" should not look interchangeable with a comic book skateboarder, and "Sister Leah" should not look like said skateboarder's cute girlfriend.

What does it mean when only the minority members wear traditional garb?

Gravatar Apparently Sister Leah's order has resurrected a medieval form of penance: the infamous comfy chair!

Gravatar "Apparently, the UK is home to something I've yet to see in the United States--under-40-something sisters whose only distinguishing characteristic is a lapel pin."

That's odd. I've never seen them in the UK, and thought they were only to be found in America. Hm.

Gravatar Have you seen the New York site nypriest.com...it is the same idea except, for it might actually work. Maybe you could check it out and post on it.

Gravatar "GO D.O.R.C.L!"

Gravatar "Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, Sacred Heart!"

Gravatar > "Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, Sacred Heart!"

: D

Gravatar Um...this is...interesting...

But, hey, if it works, it works!

Gravatar The fellow second from the left looks quite Neo-esque (The Matrix).

Gravatar Doesn't pass the if-evangelicals-did-it-would-I-make-fun-of-it test.

Gravatar To be clear, that is a RELIGIOUS vocations site.

Has anyone ever seen a LAY vocations office?

Could be really useful!

Gravatar Also, I'm simply not buying Sister Leah as a nun. Everyone knows the prettiest girls go into the habited orders...

Gravatar Sr. Leah is supposed to be a Dominican, right?

We have Domincans in my town's sister parish, but they look a lot more like Sr. Catherine than they do Sr. Leah.

However, it looks like Br. Ben belongs to a real order, though I haven't seen any actual pictures of the brothers on the internet.

Gravatar Here's the inspiration for Brother Ben:

http://brosuk.blogspot.com/2007/...s- hayes_01.html

Brother Gregory is wearing some odd iteration of the Benedictine habit (which still looks Matrix inspired).

Sr. Leah is just too cute.

Gravatar Unfortunately those non-habit nuns are very common down here in South America. Normally associated with the infamous Theology of Liberation, rejecting to dress like they should and instead dressing as normal women.

Gravatar But do they look like a skater's girlfriend?

Gravatar Some do!
