I'm right there with you. I know I looked up to MJ and Reggie Miller back in the mid-90's, but it was hard to take when I found out that he had a major gambling problem and that his foray in baseball was possibly a "hush-hush suspension" by David Stern (the more I read/hear about that, the more I'm starting to believe it)
I know when I have kids, I'm going to have to make sure they understand it's okay to strive to be the best like these athletes, but to not follow their lifestyles. Too many are cheaters, gamblers, full of infidelity, drug addicts. Maybe I'm hitting the skeptical part of my life.
