Five for Monday (since Daniel can't get his Five for Fridays in on Friday while I'm at work )

1. "Here Is Our King" by David Crowder* Band. From "A Collision"
I prefer the live version of this song, but still a typical Crowder worship song. Translation: catchy, fun, upbeat, and awesome

2. "Satisfy" by Tenth Avenue North. From "Over and Underneath"
This is a more pop-rock type of band, but this song is amazing. Great lyrics and musically well-blended. BTW-this is a FANTASTIC album!! If you are looking for a new Christian band to get behind, I HIGHLY recommend Tenth Avenue North. I hope this isn't an Audioslave/Matchbox 20 situation where they never live up to the greatness of their first album. Still a great band

3. "Filled With Your Glory" by Starfield. From Starfield
Cool, upbeat worship song by Canadian group Starfield. They are a pretty good live band as well. This follows "the formula" for worship songs

4. "Slow Fade" by Casting Crowns. From The Alter and The Door
LOVE this song! Powerful lyrics and does a great job of building, going back down, then building back up. Ends with a pretty haunting child's voice singing at the end. I've felt that Casting Crowns gets lost behind their music. They have some great lyrics, but the music can sometimes get in the way. This is NOT one of those songs. The music works in conjunction with the words to deliver a powerful message of getting too close to "the line" as a Christian. I suggest looking up the lyrics to this song

5. "Better Is One Day" by Kutless. From Strong Tower
I really like the version of this song. Pretty good CD as well. This is Kutless' obligatory worship CD that it seems like every major/mid-level Christian artist put out in the early to mid 2000's (Thanks to Third Day's Offerings for starting that trend)
